Story
Mauser is a sweet but nervous little guy. We found him as a stray about 4 years ago and his owner never came forward. About 2 years ago he had his rear leg amputated due to cancer, but scans confirmed it had not spread before surgery. He’s a loving dog, but we have struggled with consistent potty training. He will go months without accidents and then go through periods where accidents happen often. With two very young children, including a crawling baby, it has become difficult for us to manage this in our home. Mauser does well with other dogs and cats. He may be nervous and barky at first but warms up fine. He’s a very sweet, sensitive dog. We believe he would do best in a quieter home without young kids, possibly with someone who has the patience and time to work with an adult dog or a home where the occasional accident isn’t a big issue.

Story
Lilo has been with my family since she was 6 weeks old and is now 8, she is the perfect dog. She is pretty chill except when you first walk into the house. She loves playing fetch and soccer with my kids. When she likes you she will follow you wherever you go. She can be let outside without a leash and will not run. If other dogs walk by she will try to go to them to play but will come back as soon as you call her name. She needs a place where she can run around outside. She is an amazing dog and it’s heart breaking for the family that she won’t be with us anymore.

Story
Luna Negra is a stunning 2-year-old heeler with the perfect blend of high-energy fun and total cuddle bug sweetness. She has been working with a trainer and has made wonderful progress. True to her heeler roots, Luna Negra has plenty of energy and absolutely loves to play. She gets excited in the best way and would thrive in an active home that can keep both her mind and body engaged. After she’s had her fun, though, she’s more than happy to settle in close for snuggles with her people. Luna Negra does well with other dogs and especially enjoys canine friends who are closer to her size and ready to match her playful energy. She has not yet been tested with cats. She would do best with a family that understands the needs of an intelligent, active working breed and is excited to continue building on the great foundation she already has. In the right home, Luna Negra is going to absolutely shine. Fully vetted and ready for her forever family. Apply to adopt at compassionkind.org/adopt ##2658228##

Story
Evie is full of life and energy and loves being with people! She is good with other dogs and not so good with cars, so she needs a home with no cats. She likes long walks and car rides. Because she is so full of energy she needs lots of exercise - running in the yard, or at least 60 minutes a day is recommended. She would love to be a family dog with older children, but just as content with an active couple or single person.  Evie knows some basic commands- sit, shake, sit pretty, and maybe stay! Evie is up to date on vaccines, house and crate trained. She is only 25lbs and 7 years young! She is in the Goldilocks zone is dogs - not to big or small and not too young or old. She is looking for her forever home. Maybe that is with you?    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 10, 2026, 3:19 pm

Story
PLEASE READ THE ANIMAL’S PROFILE AND ALL NOTES BELOW BEFORE APPLYING! 👑 Greetings, I am Mary — Queen of Adventure. 👑 Like the Scottish queen I was named after, I am brave, strong-minded, and very confident. At just 8 weeks old, I’m already showing my royal personality as a clever little Blue Heeler pup who is ready to explore the world and rule my kingdom (lovingly, of course). I am an energetic and playful girl who absolutely loves games and adventure. Playing with my sisters is great fun, but honestly… I’m always ready to start a new game of my own. I’m curious about everything around me, which sometimes means I hear the word “no” when I investigate things like baseboards or furniture. I’m learning, though! A queen must understand the rules of her kingdom eventually. I’m already showing how smart I am—I know sit, down, and stay, and I’m crate trained too. I’m doing really well with my washable pee pads (about 95% of the time!), and I’m practicing with a leash indoors while I prepare for my royal outdoor adventures. I get along well with big dogs, small dogs, and older children, and I bring a lot of fun and excitement wherever I go. My ideal home would be one that enjoys an active, playful, intelligent puppy and is ready to keep teaching me new things as I grow. With the right guidance, I’ll become a loyal and amazing companion. If you’re looking for a confident, smart, playful pup with a big personality, I may be the little queen your home has been waiting for. Royal kisses and playful paws, Queen Mary 🐾👑 Adoption FEE: $650 which includes her spay, microchip, and vaccines.
