Please visit our website for more information on the foster/adoption process and to complete a foster/adoption application. https://www.pawliferescuegroup.org/adoption-resources Meet beautiful Iris! She has a sweet, gentle nature and loves to play. Iris needs a patient, understanding home with a predictable routine. She can be a little skittish in new or unfamiliar environments, but she has shown that she warms up to people rather quickly. She has the most expressive eyes and the cutest deer-tail (her little, excited tail wiggles are the best). She’s incredibly intelligent and learns quickly; she’d benefit from constant enrichment to build her confidence. She is potty trained, good with other dogs, and OK with cats. Iris would do best in a home with no small children. Located in Pinellas County, Florida.

Story
Jocko is a mutt, mainly Australian cattle/lab/border collie. He is 4 years old. He loves walks, hikes, cashing squirrels, cuddling on the couch, playing with toys. He is a good guard dog for strangers coming to the door. He will make a great dog for someone! He has a brother that he sometimes fights with, I have been told its litter mate syndrome, it would be ideal if Jocko could find a home with no other dogs.

PLEASE READ  BIO BEFORE EMAILING WITH ANY QUESTIONS AS WE TRY TO INCLUDE ALL INFORMATION THAT IS KNOWN.  WE ARE ALL VOLUNTEERS WORKING FULL-TIME JOBS AND APOLOGIZE THAT WE ARE UNABLE TO RESPOND TO EVERYONE. Sophie is an 8 year old female mix breed that weighs 55 lbs.  She came into rescue after the passing of her owner.  She would do best as an only pet as she gets very anxious and possessive over toys.   She has been spayed, current on all vaccines including Rabies and Bordetella, heartworm and fecal negative and microchipped. She has been on a monthly heartworm and flea preventative.  All dogs shed and most of our dogs are mix breeds and are not recommended for any person suffering with allergies. ADOPTION DONATION:  $200.00 ADOPTION PROCESS: ***Please be advised you must live in or near the Tampa area and be able to provide an established veterinary reference to adopt from our organization and no children under 6 years please.  Preference is given to homeowners and with some breeds we will not consider renters of any type. 1.  Submit an online application at www.lostangelsanimalrescue.org.  It can take 3 - 7 days to process an application.  Please notify your vet's office that we may be contacting them and to release information to us. 2. Background checks, vet references and verification of home ownership will be conducted.  If we are considering a renter, landlords will be contacted to ensure breed mixture and size of dog is permitted and if a pet deposit is required.  3. You will ONLY be contacted if your application is approved to arrange a homevisit. We are all volunteers that work full-time jobs and due to high volume apologize that we are unable to respond to everyone.November 6, 2024, 12:11 am

Story
Meet Kanahi, a super cuddly sweet pup with a good amount of drive to do whatever sports you might throw his way! Kanahi likes to be where his people are and prefers to be the center of attention. He listens well and is now comfortable with a crate. Great food drive and loves his toys. Enjoys having natural chews when he likes to lounge and relax. Would do best in an active household or farm with no small animals and no overly dominant dogs. Ideally may do best as an only pet and no young children. Will be testing with larger livestock. This guy embodies a classic heeler personality with his amazing drive, loving and loyal heart, quick learning abilities and stamina. For more up to date information on this dog please go to our website @ https://www.playk9rescue.org/adopt-a-dog The adoption fee for this pet covers the cost of care and training which may have been for several weeks or several months depending on the health and training needs. The fee also covers all vet bills during this time to ensure his/her health is improved or maintained and provides you with assurance that this dog has been well cared for while in our possession and evaluated to meet your home's needs. Included in this fee is also life- long training support provided by PLAY! K9 Academy located in Bradenton, FL as well as Life time microchip registration. When you adopt from a local shelter, you may not receive any medical history for this dog nor will you receive any behavioral history. We hope you understand that the minimal adoption fee we are asking is to continue our mission to rescue unwanted herding and working breeds from shelters/owners and get them adopted to their forever home. Please note, we will not approve an adoption to individuals or families residing in rental apartments. Typically, apartment complexes have pet policies on restricted breeds and weights which includes German Shepherd Dogs, Belgian Malinois, bully breeds, etc. These dog breeds are not breeds that will thrive in an apartment setting regardless of the management pet policy. Our adoption policy is non-negotiable.

Story
Meet Giblets! Small in stature but big in personality this little ball of energy will keep you on your toes. She’s a 2 year old female unaltered Australian Cattle Dog Mix -We got her Embark DNA results, 50% Cattle Dog, American Bully, French Bulldog and 5% Pitbull. But she’s 100% cattle dog. Cattle dogs also know as red heelers or blue heelers, are considered one of the top 10 most intelligent dog breeds and Giblets is no exception. This red heeler will be the most loyal and energetic companion you have ever met. Gibby has been working on fast cat and barn hunt, and she shows the athletic nature required for an athletic companion. Quite frankly we don’t know why she hasn’t been snatched up by now. If you like an active ball chasing, frisbee catching partner she’s your gal. This amazing working dog is not only strong and resilient but easily trainable. ACD’s are known to excel at dock diving and agility but they do have a hard off switch to relax and be that couch potato you need, but only for a little while. She has work to do. She will protect your home and loved ones making her the perfect family pet. Every dog lover needs the experience of being “owned” by an Australian Cattle Dog. If you’re ready for an adventure and a lifetime of love, consider adopting Giblets today! Story
Amos is a sweet little snuggle bug looking for his forever home. His foster family is unable to keep him after July 18th, so he needs a new foster home, but it would be great if he got adopted before then. He is very affectionate, intelligent, attentive, and loves learning new tricks. He's very curious and loves being a part of whatever his humans are doing. He loves playing with his toys and cuddling with his favorite people. He does very well in his crate and so far has had no issues with free roaming for a few hours at a time.. If you're looking for an incredibly smart, loving and loyal pup, Amos will make a great companion.
