Story
Meet beautiful Iris! She has a sweet, gentle nature and loves to play and wrestle with Rose. Iris needs a patient, understanding home with a predictable routine. She can be a little skittish in new or unfamiliar environments, but she has shown that she warms up to people rather quickly. She has the most expressive eyes and the cutest deer-tail (her little, excited tail wiggles are the best). She’s incredibly intelligent and learns quickly; she’d benefit from constant enrichment to build her confidence. Sometimes she’ll pick up a toy, look directly at Rose, and then run away, all because she wants Rose’s attention. She is potty trained, good with other dogs, and OK with cats. Iris would do best in a home with no small children. Meet lovely, sweet girl Rose! She came to us when she got sick and her previous owner could not afford her medical. She loves to cuddle and loves playing fetch. She would love a fenced in yard where she can run and play fetch with you. She loves going for a walk and car rides. Please fill out an application if you would like to meet them. Meet lovely, sweet Rose! She was surrendered to Pawlife Rescue when her previous owner could not afford her medical needs. Rose is such an affectionate, grateful, and happy girl. She loves playing fetch and she would have a toy in her mouth 24/7 if she could! She has the perfect pup smile and lights up any time you give her a head rub or pick up a toy to play with her. She would love a fenced in yard where she can run and play fetch with you. She loves going for walks and car rides. Sweet Rose loves to cuddle with humans and Iris on the couch (they might even lay on each other to get closer to you). She’s interested in cats but may scare them due to her excited nature. Adoption fee is for both dogs. https://www.pawliferescuegroup.org/adoptable-pets/iris-rose Please visit our website for more information on the foster/adoption process. https://www.pawliferescuegroup.org/adoption-resources Located in Pinellas County, Florida.

If the question is not answered in the bio please send emails to   info@HeidisLegacyDogRescue.com Hi, I’m Douglas! I’m named after the road I was found on scared and alone. A nice family took me in, cleaned me up, helped me gain weight and even made sure I got all of my puppy shots! Now they are trying to help me find my forever home. The vet says I’m about 8 months old (EST DOB 06/20/2023) and some cheek swab thingy figured out I am a mostly Australian Cattle Dog/Terrier mixed breed. I’m a very playful, curious and energetic little fella! I love to do zoomies, army crawl across the living room on my belly and roll around to play on my back. I love playing fetch with a ball and spending time outside. I’m a chewer so sometimes I have to be redirected to my toys and bones so I don’t inadvertently eat my human’s socks or flip flops. I’m very trainable - I have learned to sit, sit and stay and shake. I’m a really sweet boy and am starting to mind my manners. I need someone who has the time and patience to work with me so I’m more consistent responding to commands. One of the best things about me is that I’m crate trained and I even go in there now without getting a treat when my family tells me to “go home”. They say I whine sometimes when I’m bored in my crate but it’s just because I want to come out to play and see everyone! I’m really good at taking naps and sleeping in my crate. I LOVE food, sometimes a little too much, but I’m not food aggressive. You can motivate me to do just about anything with a training treat! My rescue mom says I’m doing really well at sitting and staying before I get my food. The house I’m staying in has 10 year old twins. Sometimes I listen to them and follow their lead, other times I get confused and think they are pack playmates so I jump and nip (playfully). My rescuer has not seen me with younger kids so we are not sure how I would behave. I get along well with other dogs and love to rough play. My rescuer’s 5 year old 70 lb female pup is my favorite playmate! She loves to rough play with me and puts me in check when I need it. My rescue family says with some training and a lot of love and fun, I’m going to grow up to be a great dog! Story
Sage is the best of 2 herding breeds. Kelpie and Border Collie. He has the best traits from both of his parents. He is very very intelligent, has a great temperament and is focused on his handler. He learned basic commands in 3 days hands down. He wants to work, so if you have livestock to round up -this is your boy! We think he is capable of working stock without too much guidance using his instincts, but as a livestock handler you always need to be there to guide him and let him know what you want. So great natural ability to read stock. He is currently on a ranch now with cattle and horses. Lots of energy , he is a people pleasing dog!!!! If you just want a family dog he can go that way too. He will be happy to herd dragon flys in the back yard, and Im sure lizards lol. Great temperament, very playful.. He requires an active lifestyle AND mental stimulation. Medium sized, neutered and utd on all vax, dewormed. We are seeking either a working home or an active family situation for him. Either way you would not be disappointed in this handsome lad. crate trained, clean boy, well mannered, good with other dogs. Currently fostered in groveland Fl area. Apps can be found at ewenityfarmsbch.com.

Story
It amazes me that Margo has been so overlooked! She is so unique! This little lady may be one, but she is so chill and eager to please. I had a trainer come and she was so surprised Margo wasn't already adopted. She said she was well mannered and obeyed well. She brought her dog to meet Margo, and was impressed that Margo stayed and sat when told. The trainer also thinks she has Australian Kelpie in her - narrow/slender face and nose. This girl is so lovable! The 5 year old neighbor boy has his sister text if I can bring her out to hug him. Margo is loving, smart and beautiful. She will make a wonderful active companion, hiking and running partner. Her energy level is fairly chill for an ACD and she has an "off-switch" and likes to snuggle. She crates well and is house trained. She is a great walking dog and is learning to look back at me when I say "eyes" so she connects while walking. She does have the heeler trait of jumping up at you if you don't set boundaries, but she is more gentle with the jump. She is becoming better as we continue training. She has learned to walk by rabbits and ducks without even the slightest pull on her leash. Initially Margo exhibited resource guarding of new toys with her live in dog brother, Rocky, After a week or so, she learned to play with Rocky and they now share toys without issue. Margo has never shown food agression. I can freely pull her food bowl or add to it while she is eating, and she simply waits. She loves small ice cubes and comes running when she hears the ice maker. Margo would do best with someone who is experienced with herders. A fenced yard preferably. She is currently fostered in the Naples area. ****Foster is willing to transport Margo for meet and greets and adoption (within reason)

Story
Piper is an active girl who knows basic commands, is house and crate trained and is working on manners. She does better with routine and boundaries. She is hesitant and guarded when first meeting people, but once she calms down she quickly warms up to new people. She is very food motivated and will do anything for a treat! Piper needs socialization with people and dogs and requires an experienced handler. In shelter she has shown to be friendly with other dogs but had some resource guarding with food, very common with shelter dogs given their situation and usually very easily trained out.
