Goose is a classic Cattle Dog — smart, intense, and ready to work. He’s looking for a home with room to roam, ideally in a rural setting where he can stay busy and have a job to do. Like many in his breed, Goose is particular about who he lets into his circle, but once you`re in, you’ve got a loyal companion for life.Goose has strong herding instincts and can be quite nippy, especially when he’s trying to “manage” his people. Because of this, he’s not a fit for homes with children. He’s done well with calm, respectful dogs and may do best with a similar canine companion. We’re not sure how he feels about cats. And one of Goose’s absolute favorite things? Mud. His dream home would include a good-sized yard and a mud pit — his personal spa and playground.Goose is best suited for someone with herding breed experience who can give him structure, purpose, and space. If you’ve got the land, the patience, and maybe a nice mud puddle or two, Goose just might be your perfect working buddy.Goose is available by appointment only, and only with select staff members, please CALL the shelter to set up a time to meet Goose.***Goose will go home with a FREE adoption success kit (includes a crate, collar, leash, and other goodies)!!!***
