Story
Ginger is a 9 mo. old Cattle Dog/Red Heeler mix who was adopted from PAWS in June of 2025. Unfortunately, the family cat is not doing well with Ginger so they are hoping to find a cat-free home. Ginger would do best with another dog in the home with a fenced in yard. She is full of spirit and adventure, has completed 2 puppy classes, knows many commands and is an AKC Puppy Star. She loves her kiddie pool in the summer but also loves snow! Due to her herding nature, we prefer a home without small children. Ginger is housetrained and crate trained. We are looking for an active home as Ginger is an active dog needing daily exercise and is eager to learn. Please submit an application at pawshs.org and NOT a Petfinder inquiry as they may not be answered due to the volume of these inquiries received. Our adoption fees include the cost of spaying/neutering, vaccinations (including rabies for cats / dogs over 4 months of age), flea prevention, worming, FeLV/FIV testing, heartworm test for dogs over 1 yrs old, and microchipping. The location of our Adoption Center PAWS at 7282 N. Cherryvale Mall Drive . Check out all of our adoptable dogs, cats and kittens on our website at www.pawshs.org. Basic Information Other Female 2 years old 40 lbs. Brown eyes Black-White-White fur coat Important Notes About Morticia Possibly good with dogs and cats Good with kids over 10 years old High energy level Special Training If adopted, Morticia will come with a six session training package to successfully transition to home life. More Info Hello, my name is Morticia, and I am a young mixed breed looking for a new best friend! I am believed to be part cattle dog because of my medium size and exuberant personality. I was surrendered because I tried to herd people at my previous home, so I need someone who can give me an outlet for my energy. I am eager to please and happy to work—just give me something to do! While I have some issues getting along with children and small animals, I get along really well with other dogs. I thrive in an environment where I can engage in activities that challenge my mind and body, whether it's learning new tricks, playing fetch, or going on long walks. I have a strong desire to bond with my human companions and show my love through enthusiastic kisses. I may want you all to myself, but with some guidance, I can learn how to share my affection. If you’re looking for a devoted and energetic companion who will fill your days with joy, we’re a match made in heaven!

Story
Paige gets along great with our four pups (per my husband, we can't have a fifth or she wouldn't be on here, lol) She's super sweet... she'll cuddle up here and there but overall, is pretty self-sufficient. She's like white on rice with us so you don't have to worry about her running away. About her ideal home... -One additional dog (it's what she knows). Her previous canine buddy was laid back as are our dogs, if a dog likes her, she's a fan of them too. She loves kids and we've been told she's a friend to the feline community as well. -Fenced in yard (she also enjoys her daily walks) -Someone who believes dogs are members of the family. She's used to sleeping on beds and not being alone for long periods of time. This is the product of abandonment after divorce. This sweet, chill girl deserves the best life for the rest of her life so if we don't find the perfect home for her, we'll keep her. She's such an easy dog and it makes no sense that someone could give her up.
