After doing X Rays, it was determined the best course of action was to amputate due to the many fractures he had endured. Despite all of this he has remained a very happy boy and eager to be your best friend. Hurley is dog friendly and adores attention from everyone he meets. He has a low key nature about him and does not require a lot of exercise. He enjoys hanging out with you and basking in the sunbeams that shine through the window.  If you are looking for a very loyal companion dog that is quiet and easy going, this boy is surely the one. His sweet demeanor will put a smile on your face for many years to come. Rozzlo is a 1 year old, Red Heeler and Shepherd mix  Rozzlo and his litter mates were surrendered to the shelter at just 1 month old. He spent 2.5 months in the shelter, until his foster mom came in one day to pick out a new foster pup before Christmas! He has been with his foster mom for quite some time now because he requires an extra special someone to spend his life with.  He has a typical goofy puppy personality. He’s about 55 pounds and is great for someone looking for a dog that’s about the average size of a heeler. He loves his toys and tug of war is his favorite game. He enjoys a good game of chuck, too. Due to his breed mixture, he is extremely smart and learns most things quickly. He is kennel trained, potty trained, basic obedience trained, he rides well in the car (in his kennel), he walks well on leash, and loves to cuddles. He is not allowed on all of the furniture, so he does have an understanding of house rules. He tolerates baths, but is amazing at getting his nails done, teeth brushing, and fur brushing! He is very funny, loves to rough house with his people, and loves to talk.  He will require some form of daily exercise and training to keep him balanced and fulfilled. However, he does not require an unmanageable amount.  Rozzlo is looking for a very special person or family. This person must understand dog behavior and be willing to take on the responsibility of a dog who will need special care & training to thrive. Due to being dropped at the shelter so young and his genetic make-up, Rozzlo has some sass. He needs to be the only pet and the only child, for the rest of his life. He loves his adult humans, but needs to have someone that won’t force him to try to “make friends” with everyone. He’s pretty shy and doesn’t really trust strangers. As long as his person advocates for him and his space, he does fine out and about.  As always, we never guarantee the breed OR the size they'll be as an adult. MY ADOPTION FEE is $125.00 and I am only available in the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area We thank you for ADOPTING A HOOVERS HAUSE RESCUE DOG..... every dog adopted allows us to open our homes to save another! Story
Chilli is around 1 year old Australian Cattle Dog/German Shepherd mix. She is a little shy and scared of some things she hasn't had a lot of experience with, but SO sweet and loves to play with other dogs and kids. She was in Wisconsin for a short while when she started having seizures, the vet who cared (and fostered) for her in Oklahoma requested her back to do some testing and work on finding the source of the seizures. After a month of test and narrowing down the issue she discovered Chilli has Hyperesthesia - which is a neurological disorder usually found in cats but very rarely in dogs. The good news is now that we know Chilli only needs to be on gabapentin every day in order to keep the neurological issues at bay, She back in Wisconsin and is looking for a family that will keep up with her medicine and help her through some of the things that make her scared, with positive love and affection and lots of treats!  ##1779851##
