Ginger is a 9 mo. old Cattle Dog/Red Heeler mix who was adopted from PAWS in June of 2025. Unfortunately, the family cat is not doing well with Ginger so they are hoping to find a cat-free home. Ginger would do best with another dog in the home with a fenced in yard. She is full of spirit and adventure, has completed 2 puppy classes, knows many commands and is an AKC Puppy Star. She loves her kiddie pool in the summer but also loves snow! Due to her herding nature, we prefer a home without small children. Ginger is housetrained and crate trained. We are looking for an active home as Ginger is an active dog needing daily exercise and is eager to learn.Please submit an application at pawshs.org and NOT a Petfinder inquiry as they may not be answered due to the volume of these inquiries received. She prefers the company of women, and love to hang out with other dogs. Shes quite the snuggler in bed if you let her sleep with you, or she's totally fine hanging out with other dogs to snooze. She enjoys her time outdoors and does best in a home with a fenced yard. She currently is in a foster home on a farm and enjoys all things farm related! Tabitha will do best in a home with herding breed experience! She might need more than one meeting to warm up to you, but once she does, you are her friend for life!
