Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours at a time until he’s older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so important in this puppy’s life. Do you have the time? Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter, heart worm test if applicable) microchip, worming and flea/tick/heart worm (if applicable) preventatives. Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.

Story
Meet Sweet Maggie Maggie is a beautiful Cattle dog, Akita, German Shepherd, Collie mix searching for a loving family to call her own. (We did her DNA test) Personality and Needs Maggie will benefit from friendly socialization and training to help her grow in confidence. She may also enjoy having a confident dog companion who can support her as she learns and adjusts to her new life. Because of high prey drive, dogs smaller than Maggie are not recommended. Training and Behavior Recently, Maggie completed several weeks of obedience training, where she learned how to sit, heel, and recall on lead. She is comfortable in a crate and will seek out her crate when she wants some quiet time alone. Although rather shy, a family with patience who can give her the time and space to feel at ease in her new environment will help her adjust. Likes and Ideal Home Maggie loves playing in water, going for long walks, and spending time with other dogs her size or larger. She would thrive in a home with a confident dog to socialize with, which would help her build her own confidence. With the right family and environment, Maggie is sure to shine and become a cherished member of the household.
