Theo is a two year old puppy who loves to play, run, and cuddle. He loves to give kisses and tries to be a lap dog. He loves to sleep beside you under the covers and wake you up with kisses in the morning. He's a great guard dog and is always on alert. Unfortunately, Theo requires a lot of attention. We recently moved out of my family home and he's alone most of the day. He has a lot of anxiety when being left alone and cannot handle being in a cage for hours. I and my husband both work long hours throughout the day and the shift has been hard for Theo. We don't want to rehome him, but see it as a better option for him in the end to be with a family who can give him all the attention and proper training he needs.

Meet Apollo! Apollo is a 5-year-old Cattle Dog mix. If you're looking for the perfect companion, you can choose any adventure you want with this dog. He loves the car so pick a park, pick a kayak, pick a trail - He's ready to go. At home, he's good for zoomies in the yard or settling down for cozies on the couch. He might look a little serious, but he's very affectionate. He's a straightforward dog with simple needs. At his age and maturity level, he does not need to be entertained or exercised all day. LENNOX is a 2 year old, female cattle dog mix. She weighs 39 lbs. She was originally adopted out as a puppy and came back when she hit her "terrible teens". Those days are now long gone and she has blossomed into a lovely, young lady. Our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program was just what she needed. Here, the rules are the rules and slowly, but surely, Lennox started to fall into line. Cattle dogs are a very task driven breed and obedience training was actually what she needed. She also polished up her social skills. Her "perfect fit" home will be an active one with older children. (cattle dogs will always want to herd). A fenced in yard is a must so she can get the proper amount of exercise. She loves people and thrives on obedience and structure. EVIE is a 16 week old, female cattle dog/hound mix puppy. She's got soooooo much going for her! She's beautifully marked. That diluted, ticked coat really sets off her big, brown eyes. She's very friendly and outgoing. She's playful but with just the right amount of energy. She's currently in our "good dog school" learning her manners and obedience. Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program will help her master crate, leash and house-training skills. She will also know how to walk nicely on a leash, and do sit, down, stay and come on command! She's just a baby but she'll have everything she needs to grow up into an exceptional family companion! Her perfect fit family should be an active one. She is at an age where she can grow up with anything as her "normal" - other dogs, cats & kids. A fenced in yard is recommended, so as she grows, she can get the proper amount of exercise. We strongly encourage you to select your new pet by looking at each dog's individual personality and pet qualities rather than relying on a breed label that is only our best guess. Our adoption fees vary from $150 and up. All of our dogs are up to date on vaccines, heart worm preventives, and flea/tick medication, and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
