Story
Meet Romeo - our newest addition! He is the sweetest fella, but apparently he hasn't had any work with basic commands or leash walking (he's not fond of the leash!), so we're working on that as we can. He'll be available after he gets his vet work done later this week, so more to come on this young guy!

Story
Henry is a sweetheart who has had an owner at some point, but was brought to us by someone who found him. Henry will need LOTS of exercise - he is full of energy and wants to run and play! He's very sweet, but might be a bit much for really young children, as he's so energetic. A nice farm doing his job would be ideal for him:) He does ok on a leash - pulls a bit - but once he has that initial burst out of him, he does much better. We think Henry might need to be an only pet in the home, but he'll be the best he can be for you! Come meet this handsome fella!

Not good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Phoebe is a 4-5 year old heeler/terrier mix who weighs about 45 lbs. She will need an experienced owner who would like to continue basic manners work, and she's fully house/crate trained. She won't be a dog park dog as she needs a couple one-on-one meets to love other pups. No cats or small kids in her forever home, sorry! She has a big herding instinct. She's a love bug who is searching for someone to teach her how to be a good pet, and will play fetch all day long. She and her foster mom have been attending sessions with Kai's Training Academy, and the trainer will assist in her transition to her new home as well. Apply at www.foreverhomedogs.org to meet Phoebe! All adoptions are $300 per dog for puppies under 1 year, $250 for adults 1 - 9 years old and $150 for senior dogs which include spay/neuter, micro-chipped and up-to-date on required shots. Senior dogs, at our discretion, are adopted out at $150 per dog because we know they will have less time with your family and may eventually have more needs as they get older. But we feel these dogs deserve to live out the rest of their lives as part of a loving family.

Story
Comes with equipment and $200 to help ensure comfortable rehoming. Opal wants to be by your side at all times and loves to snuggle. I adopted her and her brother around 5 years ago as a package deal. They have been great pets, but redirect anxiety on each other which gets amplified if another dog is barking at them. I’m giving Opal up because they had an incident where a sitter let them out into the neighborhood for a couple hours unsupervised and they got into a scuffle with another dog that ended with the other owner getting but when he reached into the dog fight. Because of this I want to split Opal and her brother up so that they won’t hype each other up and can each live more relaxed lives. Opal reacts to other dogs with whining and barking. Other than that she is excellent with people. I’ve had her behavior evaluated and she is good with men and women and has been around kids. She is a great inside dog that will shower you with love. She also loves treat training.

Story
FosterMeet Minnie! She’s a 35 pound little snuggle bug. She is about 1 year and shy at first, but sweet and playful. She’s food motivated, which is good for training. She’s great with other dogs, especially her big foster brother and she shows minimal interest in cats so far. She’s absolutely amazing with kids and loves to snuggle at the end of the day. She does well in a crate, she’s house broken and she’s starting to respond well to commands. She’s good on a leash and enjoys the views on car rides.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.February 23, 2024, 9:59 pm
