- May enjoy like minded dog friends- Tends to be an introvert around other dogs and may prefer one-on-one interactions or smaller groups of dog friends; may not be comfortable at dog parks or at large, dog-friendly events (dog intro recommended) - Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for them (mature home recommended) - Can do well with dogs, but may do best with a slow introduction- Has been diagnosed with non visual left eye (more info at ARL) - All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for age- The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. Story
Ashaya is a super high energy, super loving girl. She wants nothing more than to run, run, and run some more. She likes to throw the ball and keep-away is one of her favorite games. Sadly I have neither the time nor the energy to keep up with her unlimited supply of go-time. She's highly intelligent and loves all people and animals but reining her in so that they love her too has been difficult for me. Having a place with space for her to run free as often as she wants would be ideal and I think she would do amazing with another dog friend at home to bounce off of.
