Meet Chili! &#239&#184&#143Chili is a stunning 1-year-old, 35-pound Red Heeler with a heart as vibrant as her coat. She’s got all the fun energy of a big puppy, but with some great basics already in place — she’s potty trained, knows how to sit, and absolutely loves going for walks.Chili gets along well with other dogs after a proper introduction and enjoys playful time, especially with her favorite squeaky toys. She’s currently living with some sassy Chihuahua mixes and is doing great — just fed separately at first as a precaution. Everyone’s getting along better each day.At night, Chili snuggles up with her foster’s niece, and it’s clear she loves the companionship. She’s affectionate, smart, and ready for a home of her own.If you’re looking for a playful, loyal companion with a sweet spirit and gorgeous looks, Chili is your girl!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Story
Hi, I'm Mickey! I was found as a stray, but I've got a heart full of love and a tail that won't stop wagging. My days are spent dreaming of belly rubs, walks in the park, and endless games of fetch. I'm a pro at cuddling and my friendly nature makes me a perfect companion. I've got a knack for making people smile, and I'm always ready to lend a paw when someone needs cheering up. I'm not just a pet, I'm a best friend waiting to happen. Adopt me, and let's make life's journey together, filled with love and companionship. If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to reserve me for an appointment. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention, dewormed and dogs are also microchipped. #adoptdontshop ##2410189##
