You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.Bumper is a 2.5-year-old Australian Shepherd mix with some curious puppy still in him.  He loves his family and his routine.  His favorite activity is to play fetch.  When the weather is nice, he’ll bring you a tennis ball to go outside and throw around with him.  He’ll bring you the ball and drop it right at your feet.  Bumper is a very cute, very sweet, little guy who loves to please.  His favorite treats are Greenies.  He also likes Bully Sticks as a special treat every once in a while.   He is crated trained and good on leash. Bumper would like to be an only pet in the home, giving all his love to his person. Bumper has a tendency to want to fight with other dogs that are shy and/or timid.  He is also very strong with a typical breed herding instinct, so children in the new home should be at least 13 years old, unless the family is very experienced with understanding the breed. If you are interested in Bumper, please fill out an application at: https://reachoutrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=4588    Or contact: rorrcanine@gmail.com   *** Click here to sponsor this dog! ***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 26, 2024, 1:46 pm

Story
Scarlett`s story is one of transformation! When Scarlett arrived to us as a stray, she was terrified and would not approach staff for several days. However, with encouragement and patience, she has been breaking out of her shell and is ready to find her new family! Scarlett is the type of dog to find her `person` and stay by their side as a loyal canine companion. She can still be a bit timid when meeting strangers. She loves to get attention from her chosen humans, but is also content just to hang out in the same room and lay at your feet. As a Cattle Dog mix, she has plenty of energy and loves to have something to do! She enjoys a Kong toy filled with treats and likes to chase her favorite toys, and sometimes she`ll even bring them back to you. If you are interested in meeting Scarlett, please visit the shelter during our open hours; Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri 10a-12p & 2p-4p, Thurs 10a-12p & 2p-5:30p, and Saturday 9a-1p. Complete an adoption application online to be pre-approved for adoption. If you do not own your home, bring consent from the property owner to have a dog on the property. If you have another dog in the home, it is required to bring them for a meet before you complete the adoption. Adoption fees: 6m and younger $250, 7m-5y $200, 6y-10y $150, 11y and older $100.

Story
Thinking of a trip to Arizona this summer? We have a better option, bring Arizona to you! Arizona is a 2 year old Heeler mix weighing 40 lb. She is initially timid when meeting new people, but very sweet and will warm up. She is kid friendly and loves to snuggle on the couch with her people. Arizona is dog friendly as well, but can be bossy in her initial interactions with new dogs. A more submissive or calmer doggy friend would be ideal for this pretty girl. Cats are unknown. She is both house and crate trained. Arizona is also spayed, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. Ready to have endless couch cuddles with this beautiful girl? Apply today and once approved you can come to meet her in Harrisburg, PA! New Oxford PA 17350; LIC # 9736 We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs.  Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Cheryl (lovemy4eskies@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Casper has come back in to rescue after 12 years as his owner is no longer able to care for him.  He seems to like men more than woman however he does spend time with me but he prefers my boyfriend.  He loves to take walks and seems to do pretty good. He is house broke but may have some accidents in the beginning as he is getting used to things and if other dogs in the home and if you're gone too long.  He has a backyard to run around in and has not tried to get out but it's best to make sure your fence is secured if you are going to let him out there unattended.  He tries to play with my senior blind boy (who did not play when he could see) so he would do best I think in a home that has a dog he could play with.  He does pretty good with children over 10 but he is skittish so not sure how he would do with younger kids. I am not sure he will ever get over being skittish.   I also did a DNA test on him and he is as follows:        54% Australian Cattle Dog        42% American Eskimo Dog        2% Chihuahua        1% Border Collie        1% Pomeranian Casper is a special boy and I will be looking for the perfect home for him.  If your interested please email me at lovemy4eskies@gmail.com He is being fostered in Ridgley, MD.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers. There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs. Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!                                                       May 23, 2024, 5:46 pm

She is nicely house broken and crate trained. Her foster says of her ' Juno is very sweet Loves to play with toys & run around outside. She is very calm in her crate.' She is a working breed and would love to have a job to do around your place. She is such a wonderful, and useful, dog to have around. She has gotten along well with the other dogs she has met. No cats, though. She does not do well with them. We have had her completely vetted and made sure she has all her shots for you.  A beauty to look at, and lovely both inside and out.She would love to join your family and in no time she will be a cherished family member .
