Story
Wyatt is available through Animal Rescue, Inc in New Freedom, PA. He would love a home with at least one other dog to play with all day, its actually a must for him. Wyatt loves to play tug with his buddies when they aren`t chasing each other around the large fenced yard. He is about a year old and has a lot of energy, so a job of some sort would be great. Wyatt does tend to herd other dogs and likes to play with your hands, though we have been working on that, so older kids/teens would probably be best. He loves to drink water as your pouring it. Wyatt sleeps in his crate at night, which provides a break for his companions too, but he does like to just chill in there off and on during the day too. Wyatt is eager to please and recently attended a board and train, so it is important that his new family will continue to reinforce what he learned there so he can be his very best self. Wyatt requires a fenced yard

Story
Sydney is an 8 year old female Australian shepherd, german shepherd, and staffordshire terrier mix. Looking for a calm, adult only home. She is timid at first, but warms up over time and enjoys being pet. She does well in a predictable home environment and has been good with the children in her current household. However, she has a protective nature and has shown reactivity toward unfamiliar people, particularly when she perceives her owner is being approached or when other children move too quickly around her.Because of this, she should go to a home: - Without children- With experienced dog owners familiar with reactive protective dogsShe would likely do best with someone patient who can continue to build her confidence and manage introductions carefully. She is not aggressive without reason, but she does need the right environment to feel safe.

Zoe-Australian Shepard Brown Merle mix female, ~ 2 yr. (April 2026) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application Zoe was rescued from a high kill rural shelter when her life was in danger, due to overcrowding and limited 'hold' days. A Trainer took her to safely and put her in a Prison Training Program where she's excelled. Her trainer calls her 'very sweet'. She's learned about house training, crate training, basic obedience and husbandry/grooming skills. She's ready to move on to a family life and is hoping your family will give her a good look. Zoe is about 2 yr. old now, so past those crazy puppy days, but healthy and full of love. She likes an active life and will be a great walking or hiking partner. She weighs about 45# and has lived happily with other dogs. There are no cats in the prison to test her with, but once he's in a foster home, that will be done. Zoe's adoption fee is $350 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com Please include your location and a phone number for future communication.

Story
Gypsy (12) is a loving and loyal companion who thrives in a calm, patient home. She was abandoned to me by her previous owner. She is wonderful with kids and does very well with cats, making her a great fit for a family environment. She is truly a shadow dog; she loves to be close to her person, often curling up beside you and happily warming your feet. She enjoys walks, being outdoors, and especially loves playing in the water. Loyal, affectionate, and deeply connected to her owner, Gypsy will flourish in a home where she feels secure, loved, and understood. She would do especially well in a household with kids and/or cats, where she can be the center of attention and companionship. She can be fearful around other dogs, so she would do best as the only dog in the home with an owner who has the patience to help her feel safe and build confidence at her own pace. With time and understanding, she forms deep bonds and becomes incredibly devoted. Located in 21758

Story
Current Location: Manassas, VA Hello! My name is DaVinci! I am around 8 weeks old, 15lbs, and estimated to be an Australian Shepherd/Lab mix. I am a typical happy, bouncy puppy! I love to play with toys and hang out with people. I give lots of puppy kisses and snuggles. Please check back soon for updates on my personality, and to see adorable new photos. I'm searching for... * someone who won't leave me home alone for more than 4 hrs, at least not until I am older. The older I am the more I can stay home alone. I just don't want you to get mad at me if I have accidents or chew things I'm not supposed to when you leave me for too long. I'm a puppy, so I get bored quick and when I'm bored I could get in trouble. * I am looking for my forever home, not my for right now home. So as I get bigger I need someone to teach me how to be the best dog I can be. I am young and still learning. You may want to teach me some new tricks like sit, stay, etc. Professional training will help me bond with you. That sounds like fun! * I saved the most important for last. I am hoping my new mom or dad will snuggle with me, play with me and love me forever and ever! I'm making my way north in search of my new family. Is that with you? If so apply today because this cuteness won’t be around for long!

Story
Current Location: Manassas Va Hello! My name is Nova! I am estimated to be a 3 year old Australian Shepherd/Fox hound mix. I am the momma to the Surgical Suite pups- I raised my puppies and now its time for me to find my forever home! Here is what foster mom has to say about me: - I am pretty nervous at first meeting so I need an adopter that will take it slow with me and let me have time to come out of my shell. I'd probably do best in a home without small children since they can be a little scary at first. I dont have a mean bone in my body, I just may run and hide. - Even though I'm nervous, I still want to cuddle. I will come lay in your lap and ask for pets and attention. I really am the sweetest girl! - I do not yet understand what a leash is, and its kinda scary. At the moment, I would really prefer a home with a fenced in backyard. Im a really good girl and will do my business then come back to you to get pets and attention. I think I will learn to like being on a leash, but it may take some training. - right now, I love playing with the puppies in my foster home, but the adult dogs are still a little scary. Im pretty sure I will like them once I settle in a little. - once I feel comfortable, im all typical 3 year old- i like to play and run around the yard! - I havent had any accidents in my foster home and I like my crate. I go right in and im silent in it all night. - I am spayed and up to date on all my vaccines! I’m looking for my forever family! Is that with you? If so please click “apply for adoption” or submit an application through the Adopt tab. Let’s get our family started!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant. NOTE- LUNA IS LISTED AS A COURTESY FOR ANOTHER RESCUE ORGANIZATION.  PLEASE SEE CONTACT INFO BELOW.https://www.facebook.com/alldogsmatter.warrencountyI'd like you all to meet the next SINGLE LADY on the market....and looking for her next big LOVE. This is LUNA and she is located in Strasburg, Va. Luna is a super fun and energetic girl looking for adventure. Let me tell you a little about this sweet girl. She is a BORDER COLLIE MIX (of some sort) around 45lbs. and wants to play, play, play! Luna is about 2 years old. She is in need of updated shots and a spay. I was able to raise enough with the last fundraiser to pay for these things to be done. The current owners aren't sure about getting her to the appointment and picking her up, so I don't want to pay for that to get her on the schedule until I know for sure she can be taken. LUNA is great with people and kids. Also, good with other dogs and cats. She is housebroken but will get into things if left to her own devices. She loves walks, loves to swim, loves the beach, and LOVES ATTENTION!! So, an active person or family would be ideal. This girl checks ALL the boxes for a great companion!! All she needs is YOU!! **IF YOU'D LIKE TO MEET LUNA....SEND A MESSAGE TO THE PAGE. ALL OTHER ANIMALS IN THE HOME MUST BE UP TO DATE ON SHOTS AND SPAYED/NEUTERED. REFERENCES REQUIRED. **PLEASE SHARE, SHARE, SHARE....THAT'S HOW WE GET THIS DONE AND FIND LOVING HOMES FOR THE ONES IN NEED. https://www.facebook.com/alldogsmatter.warrencounty Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 12, 2026, 11:54 am

Please contact:  Lara208-629-9768 hannonlara@gmail.com Energy level: Moderate — playful outside, calm indoors   1. Overview & Core TemperamentFred is a sensitive, sweet, emotionally intuitive herding-breed mix who forms deep, meaningful bonds with the people he trusts. Once he feels safe, he becomes affectionate, playful, gentle, has a quirky smile, connected, and eager to be near his person. He settles well in the home, often resting at your feet or choosing a comfortable nearby spot. He likes being close but is not clingy; he simply enjoys companionship from a place of safety.Fred thrives with calm, predictable handling, gentle voices, and slow movements that give him space to build trust at his own pace. 2. Sensitivity & Emotional NeedsFred is highly sensitive and easily overwhelmed by unfamiliar people, sudden movement into hisspace, loud or chaotic environments, and unpredictability. He needs slow introductions, time to observe, soft tones, gentle body language, consistent routines, and a peaceful, stable environment. With these supports, he warms up beautifully and becomes affectionate, expressive, and securely attached. 3. Fear-Based BehaviorsFred has fear-based reactivity with new people, not true aggression. When overwhelmed, he maygrowl or snap if he feels cornered or pressured. With proper introductions and calm interactions, these behaviors reduce significantly or disappear. 4. Separation & Isolation AnxietyFred has separation and isolation anxiety. When left alone, he may pace, bark, whine, pantexcessively, drool excessively, become restless, or struggle to settle. Despite this distress, he has never been destructive and does not soil indoors. He needs gradual alone-time training, consistency, predictability, a low-stress environment, andpossibly a calm dog companion. 5. Behavior with Other DogsFred plays well with other dogs, adjusts his energy appropriately, relaxes around calm dogs, gainsconfidence from a steady canine companion, and checks in frequently with his person. On leash, he may show mild reactivity to other dogs on leash at close ranges but redirects well.Off leash he is appropriate, social, playful, and not aggressive.6.
