Story
Hello! I was surrendered to the shelter when my owner could no longer care for me. I did a great job for my intake exam and vaccines, and I seem to LOVE people. My previous owner reports that I do not do well with other pets (cats and dogs), so I may need to be the only pet in a home. They also reported that I am a little overwhelming to children, especially small children. I`ll need older children and adults that understand my boundaries and know how to help me redirect my energy. I am very sweet, very handsome, and I know the right home is out there for me!Notes from my adventure buddies and foster friends:`He’s one of the best dogs I have ever walked! He’s super friendly, loves petting, and would be a great pet!``Hudson was a very good boy. Extremely friendly with us from the moment that we met. We took him on a walk around the shelter and when we got back he was excited to greet the shelter employees and love on them. He walked great on this walk, no pulling and kept checking back to back sure the person who wasn`t holding the leash was following (think it a herding thing). He kept pace super well, but slowed a little towards the end (I think he had already been walked once that day). Overall great super mellow dog.``Hudson is an amazing dog! He is very well behaved, will eagerly go on walks and then come back and chill out. He is very loving and loves to be around people. Even though he is an older dog, he still has a lot of energy to run around and tire himself out. He will do well with owners who can provide him with a lot of attention throughout the day because he is most happy when he is around people.``Despite his age, Hudson is still very much an energetic baby. He loves people and is always happy to be near us. He is absolutely a Velcro dog and will be your shadow anywhere you go. Being an older dog, it is a bit difficult to teach him new commands, but as long as you have treats for him, he is happy to try to learn. He tends to jump and climb on people, which can be overwhelming for some guests. He is also a bit impatient when it comes to food and walks, and tends to rush outside as soon as you open the door. He is quite picky and doesn`t like regular kibble. We mix in premium kibble and dog-friendly food (eggs, chicken, carrots, etc.), which he will happily slurp up. Hudson is a super adorable and wonderful dog! He is the ultimate lovebug and always wants to be near you. He is house t

Story
Ziggy is an approximately 2-year-old mama who has finished raising her puppies and is now ready to enjoy a loving home of her own. This gentle girl is a bit shy at first and can be anxious in new situations, but once she trusts you, her affectionate side shines through. Shes already leash-trained, rides nicely in the car, and is highly treat-motivated (the fast track to her heart!). Ziggy would thrive with someone patient and kind who can help her build confidence and show her the world isnt so scary. If youre looking for a tender, loyal companion with a soft spirit and a big heart, Ziggy may be your perfect match.

Story
Meet Angelo, a brave and beautiful soul who was rescued just in time. He was found abandoned on the side of a busy highway, looking lost, nervous, and exhausted — clearly dumped by the very people he trusted most. Cars sped by as he stood frozen, searching every face that passed, hoping his family would come back. Thankfully, one kind passerby saw him, stopped, and knew that if she didn’t act, he might not survive. When she opened her car door, Angelo didn’t resist — he quietly climbed in, as if he knew he was finally safe. Now thriving in foster care, Angelo has proven to be a vibrant, loving, and loyal companion. He’s full of energy and joy, always ready for a walk, a run, or an adventure. He’d be happiest with an adopter who enjoys staying active — someone who loves the outdoors and is ready for an affectionate bestie.

Story
Meet Rocky, a laid-back, big-hearted guy who`s looking for the perfect companion. Rocky thrives in a calm, quiet home, ideally with an individual or couple who can offer him the peace he craves. While he`s tolerant of kids, he prefers to snuggle only with his bonded person. True to his cattle dog nature, Rocky is protective of his territory and takes his time warming up to newcomers. But with a few tasty treats, he’s quick to make new friends! Out in public, like at Lowes or the park, he’s friendly and allows people to pet him. He’s an easy-going guy who enjoys nice walks or short hikes and does well on a leash. However, he’s not a fan of other dogs and would prefer to be the only pup in the home. Rocky is food-driven, so with patience and training, he can overcome his dog-on-dog challenges.Rocky is fully house-trained, and he’ll always let you know when it`s time to go potty. He can be left home alone for long periods and is perfectly well-behaved—no chewing, no accidents. He’s also pretty good at following basic commands: sit, down, stay, and come. He doesn’t jump up on guests or try to dash out the door when it opens. While he can tolerate cats, small animals like squirrels aren’t his thing, and he won’t chase them. He enjoys playing tug-of-war and carrying around his stuffies (though he doesn’t chew them up!). Rocky also loves to bury bones and toys that he’s particularly fond of.He has a sensitivity to certain ingredients like corn, wheat, and soy, so he requires allergy-friendly food. He’s also afraid of thunderstorms, so a little extra care during storms will go a long way.Though Rocky hasn’t been crate trained, he seems to like the idea of having his own space. With his thick fur, he does require regular brushing, but professional grooming isn’t necessary. He`s not a fan of water or swimming, but he doesn’t bark excessively—just enough to alert when something’s up.If you’re ready for a loyal companion who thrives on a peaceful, loving environment, Rocky could be your guy!

Story
This special boy has a lifelong double recessive genetic disorder that causes spinning behaviors and vision impairment. These medical and neurological challenges are permanent and will require lifelong management and ongoing veterinary care. He is currently doing fairly well on his prescribed medications, which will need to be continued through his adopter’s veterinarian after adoption. Because of his condition, he must live as an indoor dog in a home committed to providing long term medical support, structure, and supervision. He is very high energy and thrives with routine and consistent handling. He is potty trained, crate trained, loves car rides, and absolutely adores people and children. He enjoys human companionship and is very affectionate with his family. He will need to be the only animal in the home. Previous owners reported that he does not do well with other dogs and may chase smaller animals, including cats.He is looking for a patient, understanding adopter willing to love him exactly as he is and provide the lifelong care he deserves.
