Story
Resi is one handsome guy with brains to match! This sweet boy came to FDHS as an owner surrender through no fault of his own, and he’s been making quite the impression ever since. Resi is a smart, energetic pup who thrives when he has something to do. Whether it’s going for a walk, learning something new, or just exploring the world around him, he’s happiest when his brain and body are both getting a workout. He’s a perfect medium-sized companion and walks nicely on leash, making him a great fit for someone who enjoys getting out and about. Resi has shown interest in the other dogs here at the shelter and may enjoy a canine friend, given proper introductions. We don’t have any history of him with cats at this time.Resi is the kind of dog who will really shine in a home that can match his energy and continue helping him grow into the best version of himself. He’s a fun, eager, and lovable guy who’s ready to find a family to call his own!

Story
We saw her on Facebook and she needed somewhere to sleep urgently. She was tied up outside in all weather. She had issues with food and water wich we worked on, she immediately bonded with my daughter, she loves to play with other animals, she will do anything to go play with another pup. Her only cons are that she has separation anxiety, and pulls on the leash, but with enough exercise shes not as bad on the leash, and will listen to commands while okay leash. She is very energetic and HAS to have a backyard to play in, she is the sweetest cuddly baby dog ever. I've never met such a sweet dog. She loves anyone and everyone! She loves to dress up and show off her outfits! Shes all around the perfect dog, as long as she can get her energy out! She has been a momma. Unfortunately we were never going to be able to keep her long term. We hoped it could work out that way but it hasnt and we just want whats best for her. I have lots of more information for anyone interested.

Story
Meet Kat! 🐶 She is the sister of Kit, who was adopted last month. She is our sweet Blue Heeler mix, with a heart full of sunshine and zoomies! Kat was born around September 20, 2025, and she’s everything you’d expect from a happy, well‑socialized puppy. She adores people, loves other animals, and approaches the world with pure enthusiasm. If it moves, she wants to play with it! As a young herding‑breed mix, Kat is bright, energetic, and eager to learn. She’ll thrive in a home that’s ready to invest time in training, structure, and basic obedience. Kat has plenty of puppy energy to burn, so a secure, fenced‑in yard where she can run, explore, and practice her zoomies is a must. With the right guidance and consistency, she’s going to grow into an incredible companion! Adoption fee: $450

Story
Mac is the kind of dog who brings a sense of adventure into your life. He’s curious, smart, and independent—always exploring, always discovering, and always ready for whatever the day holds. Mac spends his days exploring the woods, checking out the ponds, and just enjoying being a dog. He loves water, loves movement, and has that natural confidence that makes life with him feel fun and engaging. He’s affectionate and friendly, but not needy—he’s happy to be part of your world while still doing his own thing. That balance makes him both enjoyable and easy to live with. He’s expected to grow into a larger dog and will thrive in a home that enjoys the outdoors or wants a companion for daily activity and exploration.
