He’s making great progress with potty training, does well in his crate, and loves playing with the pets in his foster home. He’s currently learning his leash manners and, like many herding breeds, has plenty of energy to spare—a fenced yard would be nice but not a requirement. We think Cooper has the potential to really shine in agility or other active training activities! Before adopting, we always encourage families to research the breed to make sure the energy level, temperament, and lifestyle needs are a good match. Cooper is an amazing pup who will thrive with an active family ready to help him reach his full potential. New foster dogs need time to feel safe. They may be skittish or fearful, so always stay with them outside—even in fenced yards. Ensure collars and leashes fit securely to prevent escapes. Your gentle presence and protection help them feel loved and secure. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 13 weeks old), and spay/neuter when necessary. He is about 18 months old now and I don't understand why he hasn't been adopted. He is adorable, he only weighs about 40 lbs, he is great with other dogs, people, and cats. Perfect little dude. He loves to run and play and splish splash in the water. He would make a great companion for an active individual or a family that enjoys outdoor adventures or spending lots of time in the backyard. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found.
