Story
Onyx is a 3 year old Australian cattle dog. Onyx is house trained and crate trained. Onyx was an owner surrender and seems to be prone to stress; when stressed, he tends to throw tantrums similar to a toddler. Onyx loves to cuddle on the couch, and listens just about as well as a beagle when we’re outside. He puts his nose to the ground and is in a whole new world. Onyx will play nicely with other dogs, even though it isn’t his favorite thing. For being a cattle dog, he is fairly low energy. Medium energy compared to a typical dog. Onyx is up to date on shots (rabies, DHLPP, bordetella), neutered, heartworm negative, microchipped, and ready to go!

Story
Speckle! Speckle is a 1 year old Australian cattle dog. Speckle was first purchased from a farm, then later abandoned by his owner. Speckle is very shy of new things, and loves to find comfort in his people. Since opening up a bit more, we’ve found that Speckle is good on a leash, good with other dogs, loves to listen and go on walks, potty trained, kennel trained. Speckle loves to be with his people and gives no care about others. Speckle is a HIGH ENERGY dog. He will play all day. He does well with other dogs; until he tires them out and is ready to keep going himself. Speckle should be able to adjust well with any home willing to put the work in. Speckle is neutered, has DHLPP bordetella and rabies vaccines, heartworm negative, and will receive a microchip.

Story
Adopt Kylo!! 🦄 He is a young adult, neutered male heeler mix. He’s a pretty low energy guy that is good after a 20 minute slow walk. We refer to him as the snuggly, fluffy teddy bear. And it’s pretty fitting. 😇 He still likes to play and have attention daily. Needs something to do and chew on, but otherwise is great. And then will settle down on his dog bed just fine. He’s a quiet boy for us. Gets along great with all our other cattle dogs. When he gets excited and wants to play, he’ll grab things like my shoes and occasionally my arm. 🤪Always in a nice, gentle way. He really likes to play with a flirt pole. Loves his stuffed squeaky toy and doesn’t even try to destroy it! 🤯 I’m not sure that a home with poultry or other small critters is for him. He has a LOT of interest in our chickens and worries the fence line a lot to get to the chickens. A fenced in yard for him is best. He likes to explore! 🌍 Given the situation he came from, hes still probably going to be a little shy until he warms up to you. But once he warms up to you he’s your best friend. Allison Ruwe Dog Training will provide up to 1.5 hours of free dog training to help him succeed in his new home. Lebanon OH.

Story
Reo is a 6 to 8yr old neutered male Cattle Dog mix. He weighs about 40 lbs. This guy may not be the most beautiful guy I have ever met but he is stunning in other ways. He is true best friend material. He is so very kind, gentle and willing to please. I have to give a quick example. I let him out of his kennel into the play yard. He went out and did his business and then came back to the door to be let in. The dogs know they get a treat before going to their kennel. Reo went to treat box and took a cookie and headed to his kennel. Once inside his kennel he dropped his treat and looked at me. Here he had grabbed 2 treats instead of one. I opened his kennel door to tell him it was ok but as soon as I did he grabbed the extra cookie and dropped it back into the treat box. My heart just melted. I tried to tell him it was fine but he had this look like he was so sorry. He is so careful now when he reaches into the treat box to make sure he only has one cookie. He is my easiest dog here and he deserves the perfect forever home. He is very quiet and respectful. He is so willing just to be near you and wait to see what you would like to do. He loves special treats and chew bones. He has moderate energy . He will gladly go for a walk with you but if it is cold and snowy he will happily spend the whole day curled up snuggling with you. If you are looking for the perfect dog then look no further. He will give you everything he has and will only ask for love in return. He is house trained. He has been fine with children and other dogs. He seems fine with my cat. He is up to date on shots and wormed. He is already neutered. The adoption fee is $250. If interested in meeting this cutie, please email heritagefarms08@gmail.com or call the foster at 419- 591-6621 .
