Story
*WE ARE NOT A SHELTER* IF INTERESTED, PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION ON OUR WEBSITE: SHELTERFRIENDS.ORG The Mafia litter of 4 puppies were born November 22, 2022. We never saw their parents, so breed is only a guess. They broke with parvo virus after being in our rescue about a week, but beat it quickly! They'll be ready for their furever homes after February 23rd. They're in foster homes learning basic manners, but due to their young age please expect more potty training and obedience training to be necessary. Their $200 adoption fee includes: parvo treatment, spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines, deworming, microchip and monthly preventions. Applications take up to 5 days to be processed and then we'll email you. Please add SHELTERFRIENDSOK@GMAIL.COM to your contacts so our messages don't go to spam. Thank you!

Story
Nick came to us from the OKCShelter euthanasia list. He was chosen for euthanasia because he was displaying stress in the shelter and they needed the room. Nick is very playful and has a lot of energy. He gets along well with other dogs and likes to fetch and play tug of war. He'd do very well with children in the 7 and up range simply because he does LOVE running. He'd do well hiking and traveling too. He's good in the car and crate trained. We'd love to hear from you and schedule a meet and greet

Meet Lou, a resilient 4-year-old sweetheart and survivor of heartworms, now fully treated and ready for his forever home. Lou is a quiet, good boy who never fails to be a hit with his charming personality. He thrives on praise and treats, and his repertoire includes the impressive "sit" command. Calm and well-behaved, Lou is the ideal companion for those seeking a gentle and loyal friend. While he may be a bit shy around new dogs, slow introductions are all he needs to make friends. Give Lou the loving home he deserves, and experience the joy of having a wonderful, appreciative companion by your side. Adopt Lou and make every day brighter!

Story
Howdy was found with his presumed litter mate (Hyde) abandoned on a country back road. It is likely he came from a previous home as he was well-behaved and groomed. Vet estimated his age between 12-18 months old. He's very sweet, gentle, and approachable. He is playful and energetic, but not overwhelming. Loves to be pet and play outside. Has never shown any aggressive behavior. He is very friendly/playful to other dogs and does well around cats. We feel he'd be perfect in a quieter home or even as a farm dog with lots of room to explore. He and Hyde are a bonded pair and we'd love to find them a home together, but will separate if a good home is found. He seems very trainable, as his current foster was able to teach him to sit and wait before eating, as well as walking on a leash. He is neutered, tick/flea free, and chipped. He tested negative for Heartworms, Lyme, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasmosis. Link to Hyde: https://www.adoptapet.com/pet/41757367-moore-oklahoma-pointer-mix
