Finneas is a bundle of excitement and energy. He needs daily exercise and mental stimulation. He is crate trained and house trained. Finneas has come a long way, but still requires time to warm up to certain people and dogs…which is improving daily. It will be best to let him warm up and familiarize himself with his environment before starting to experience dogs and other people. He has a specific procedure on meeting new people and dogs that helps his ability to warm up quicker. I recommend his future foster/adopt continue to follow it for the best results…I’m committed to continue being available to help them in the process. A home with a non-dominant dog would be best if there are other dogs. I would recommend no small children due to his trust issues…and NO CATS. Meet Copper! Copper is a very sweet, playful guy! He is approximately 4 years old, and at his last vet visit weighed in at 60 pounds. We think Copper probably has some Australian Shepherd, along with several other breeds including possibly Belgian Shepherd, Greyhound or Carolina dog. Copper is a beautiful and happy boy. He’s lucky to be alive! Copper came to us from the shelter at a time when he was minutes from losing his life because he had an upper respiratory infection. We are so glad he is with us now, and he is in a training program getting ready for his forever home! Copper does well in a crate, he also does well on a leash. Copper would love to be a hiking or running buddy! His foster mom said he is doing well at learning house training. Copper loves to play with his doggy friends especially tug-of-war with the big rope toys and will do wonderful at a daycare or dog park with other active and playful dogs!
