Story
When she first arrived, she was completely shut down and terrified of everything. Mabel has since proven that she is a very sweet dog with a lot of love to give. She was walks on leash, is completely potty and crate trained, and she loves giving kisses on the face! 🥹 She was just a scared dog who needed patience, love, and someone to believe in her. In her foster home, Mabel has been enjoying cuddling on the couch, soaking up attention, and learning that being spoiled is actually pretty great. 🥰 Every day she grows a little braver and it’s been such a gift to watch her transform. Mabel is now available for adoption. She is about 2 years old and around 45lbs. She’s believed to be an Australian Cattle Dog/German Shepherd Mix. She was pulled from the shelter off the euthanasia list in July with her puppies. All of her puppies have gone on to new homes so just Mabel is left. She’s such a tiny little thing with a big heart ready for her forever home. Story
Please meet Miss Haven! Haven is an approximately 4.5-year old female Cattle Dog/Shepherd mix and weighs around 70 lb. She was adopted as a puppy and returned as an adult when the adopter no longer had time for her. Haven is very affectionate and loves her adult people! Once she is comfortable with her environment, she is playful and social. She is very loyal. Haven is not a fan of children (we think they just make her nervous) or most other dogs, especially energetic dogs. She would probably be fine with a calmer male dog, but she needs to meet any dog in the household prior to adoption. HOME CHECK AND STOCKADE FENCE REQUIRED! Haven is crate, house, and leash trained. She is spayed, current on vaccines, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $225. If you would like to adopt Haven and make her a part of your family, please apply at FYDRadopt.com

Story
This little cutie is Ava! Ava is an approximately 8-month-old Cattle Dog mix who will weigh 35-45 lbs. as an adult. She was rescued with her mom and siblings from a local shelter. Ava is affectionate and playful, loves to cuddle with both humans and other dogs, enjoys playing with toys and chewing on sticks. Ava likes to be near her human and wants to curl up beside you in the evening. She plays well with other dogs and seems to choose the adult dogs over her siblings as playmates. She will play on her own sometimes. She can be sassy at times. Ava would do best with another playful dog in the home. She would love a home where she is included in activities and shown lots of attention and love. She knows how to use a pet door and goes easily into her pen. She enjoys treats. Ava will need continued assistance with house and leash training. Ava is spayed, current on age-appropriate vaccines, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $225. To adopt Ava, go to www.foreveryoursokc.org/adoption-application to apply.

Story
Heidi is an approximately 3-year-old female Cattle Dog Mix and currently weighs around 30 lbs. Heidi came to the rescue with her 8 puppies, but she is over being a mother and is now living her best life just being a happy dog. Heidi is very friendly and doesn't know a stranger. She is playful with other dogs in the home. She likes her toys and will entertain herself with them. She also likes her quiet time for naps and will go find some place to nap that she won't be bothered. Heidi has been left in the home to roam with the other dogs without any issues. She also sleeps all night long without any problem. Heidi is a very smart girl and is learning basic commands. She will need a secure fenced backyard. Heidi is a joy to watch! She was less than an hour from euthanization at a local shelter. She knows she was given a second chance and she is not going to waste it! Heidi is house broken and currently uses a doggie door at her foster's home. She may require some patience in a home without a doggie door. She walks on a leash but using a harness would be the recommendation. Heidi is spayed, current on vaccines, on heartworm preventative and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $225. To adopt Heidi, go to www.foreveryoursokc.org/adoption-application to apply.
