Meet Copper! Copper is a very sweet, playful guy! He is approximately 4 years old, and at his last vet visit weighed in at 60 pounds. We think Copper probably has some Australian Shepherd, along with several other breeds including possibly Belgian Shepherd, Greyhound or Carolina dog. Copper is a beautiful and happy boy. He’s lucky to be alive! Copper came to us from the shelter at a time when he was minutes from losing his life because he had an upper respiratory infection. We are so glad he is with us now, and he is in a training program getting ready for his forever home! Copper does well in a crate, he also does well on a leash. Copper would love to be a hiking or running buddy! His foster mom said he is doing well at learning house training. Copper loves to play with his doggy friends especially tug-of-war with the big rope toys and will do wonderful at a daycare or dog park with other active and playful dogs! Please meet Miss Haven! Haven is an approximately 5-year old female Cattle Dog/Shepherd mix and weighs around 70 lb. She was adopted as a puppy and returned as an adult when the adopter no longer had time for her. Haven is very affectionate and loves her adult people! Once she is comfortable with her environment, she is playful and social. She is very loyal. Haven is not a fan of children (we think they just make her nervous) or most other dogs, especially energetic dogs. She would probably be fine with a calmer male dog, but she needs to meet any dog in the household prior to adoption. HOME CHECK AND STOCKADE FENCE REQUIRED! Haven is crate, house, and leash trained. Rusty and Montana are approximately 7 month old pups who are still learning to trust. They were not socialized for much of their youth and were found dumped in a rural area, and are a little nervous about strangers as a result. However, they are very food motivated and intelligent boys who show a lot of promise in being trained with the right attitude! Both have passed temperament tests in group play and love other dogs, and are also fine with other animals. Montana (or Monty) is shyer and a sweet, more calm boy. He prefers to cuddle with his toys on his bed just as often as he plays with them. He is still uncertain about being petted, but he likes human company and will lay down near you and spend time with you at a short distance (he especially likes watching TV)
