Story
Our tiny miracle with the ultimate glow-up story is finally ready to be adopted! Please share Fig’s story and let’s find him the home he deserves ❤️ At just one week old, Fig arrived at rescue barely bigger than your hand — fragile, fighting, and needing tube-feedings around the clock. His first weeks of life were spent tucked close, fed gently and carefully, every single meal a tiny victory. Then came a diagnosis no puppy should face at 3½ weeks old: megaesophagus. But Fig? He didn’t read the odds. Picture this: a wiggly baby propped upright for every feeding, medication on board, foster mom cheering him on like he was winning Olympic gold instead of just finishing breakfast. Day by day, ounce by ounce, he grew stronger. And then — the miracle. By three months old, advanced testing showed something incredible: his condition was resolving. The medication? Gone. The feeding chair? Retired. The fear? Replaced with celebration. 🎉 Fast-forward to today… Fig is a thriving, happy 6-month-old bundle of joy who eats and drinks like any other dog. His only “special request”? A splash of water on his kibble. No soaking. No complicated routine. Just add water and serve with love. Because his early weeks were spent so closely bonded to his foster mom, Fig loves deeply and attaches hard. A new home may feel big at first — but once he knows he’s safe, he absolutely blooms. And when he blooms? It’s a full production. 🌟 He adores people. 🌟 He LOVES other dogs. 🌟 He brings main-character energy to every play session. Fig is the life of the party! He’s the one rallying the group for “just one more round” of zoomies. He would thrive with larger, playful dogs who can match his enthusiasm. Tiny pups might find his enthusiastic wrestling style a bit… ambitious. 😅 He’s making great progress with potty training and does best with a steady routine. He understands what to do but he just sometimes can’t quite hold it as long as he plans. Puppy life! Fetch? Quickly becoming his favorite hobby. Cats? He treats them like mildly confusing dog siblings — attempts play, shrugs at rejection, trots away without a care in the world. ✔️Fig is resilient. ✔️Fig is joyful. ✔️Fig is goofy, affectionate, and overflowing with gratitude for a life he fought hard to Now he’s ready for his forever chapter. Are you ready for yours? 💛 ✅ Neutered ✅ Up to date on all vaccines & heartworm preventative ✅ Microchipped 💲 Adoption fee: $250 👉 Apply to adopt Fig: https://foreveryoursokc.org/adoption-application/

Story
Please meet Miss Haven! Haven is an approximately 5-year old female Cattle Dog/Shepherd mix and weighs around 70 lb. She was adopted as a puppy and returned as an adult when the adopter no longer had time for her. Haven is very affectionate and loves her adult people! Once she is comfortable with her environment, she is playful and social. She is very loyal. Haven is not a fan of children (we think they just make her nervous) or most other dogs, especially energetic dogs. She would probably be fine with a calmer male dog, but she needs to meet any dog in the household prior to adoption. HOME CHECK AND STOCKADE FENCE REQUIRED! Haven is crate, house, and leash trained. She is spayed, current on vaccines, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $250. If you would like to adopt Haven and make her a part of your family, please apply at FYDRadopt.com

Story
This little cutie is Ava! Ava is an approximately 9-month-old Cattle Dog mix who will weigh 35-45 lbs. as an adult. She was rescued with her mom and siblings from a local shelter. Ava is affectionate and playful, loves to cuddle with both humans and other dogs, enjoys playing with toys and chewing on sticks. Ava likes to be near her human and wants to curl up beside you in the evening. She plays well with other dogs and seems to choose the adult dogs over her siblings as playmates. She will play on her own sometimes. She can be sassy at times. Ava would do best with another playful dog in the home. She would love a home where she is included in activities and shown lots of attention and love. She knows how to use a pet door and goes easily into her pen. She enjoys treats. Ava will need continued assistance with house and leash training. Ava is spayed, current on age-appropriate vaccines, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $250. To adopt Ava, go to www.foreveryoursokc.org/adoption-application to apply.

Story
Tilly is a beautiful, high-energy girl who has been part of our family since she was just 8 weeks old (born May 2022). At home, she’s a sweet and loving dog. She is affectionate, playful, and always up for a game of fetch or tug-of-war. While she loves going on walks, she’s definitely a homebody. Tilly does best with her own space and a calm, predictable routine, so she would be happiest as the only pet in a home without small children. Tilly is looking for a patient, loving owner who has time for indoor play and will truly appreciate her loyal, devoted nature. If you’re searching for a one-of-a-kind companion to fill your home with love, Tilly would love to meet you.

Story
Age: 3-4 years, Australian shepherd corgi mix. *Update* After speaking with multiple resources. Pepper requires someone with full understanding and patience, as she nipped at the few people she has met for a potential rehome. Pepper would need a child free, adult only home, as she has been very sheltered and not exposed to many people. She DOES NOT have a history of bitting anyone* Pepper is a extremely timid and shy around new people. Once she gets to know you she is very affectionate and playful, likes to hold hands, and even help take your socks off! She is very agile and fast, with a high prey drive (loves squirrel chasing) She would need a fenced yard. She has had some issues with with smaller dogs but does well with dogs of similar size. She is house and crate trained, prefers to eat in her crate. We are offering a no adopt fee and can provide her crate too.
