WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🤍❄️ Meet Artic — A Gentle Soul with Adventure in His Heart ❄️🤍 (11 Months • ~50 lbs • Male • Full-Time Best Boy) If loyalty had a face (and four paws), it would look a lot like Artic. This handsome 11-month-old, 50-pound sweetheart is the kind of dog who doesn’t just walk with you — he walks for you, always checking in, always nearby, always quietly making sure his person is okay. Artic is wonderfully balanced: playful when it’s time to have fun, calm and affectionate when the day winds down. He’s the dog who will happily explore the outdoors with you and then curl up close afterward like, “We did good today.” 🐾 Why Everyone Falls for Artic: • Excellent with other dogs — friendly, easygoing, and social • Walks beautifully on or off leash, naturally staying close (no wandering, no drama) • Loves the water — splashing, wading, and cooling off like a true nature pup • Affectionate and gentle, with a calm presence that just feels good to be around • Playful without being overwhelming, snuggly without being needy At the ranch, Artic’s favorite walks are the ones that head toward the river — where the pace slows, the water sparkles, and he gets to just be a happy dog. He’s not loud about his love, but it runs deep, and once you’re his person, you’re his whole world. Like his brother, Artic has spent far too much of his puppyhood in rescue, waiting patiently while life passed by. Despite that, he’s remained trusting, sweet, and hopeful — and now it’s time for him to finally experience the joy of a family, a home, and a forever spot on the couch. Artic would thrive with an outdoorsy person or family who values companionship, quiet loyalty, and shared adventures followed by cozy evenings in. If you’re looking for a dog who will choose you every single day — without hesitation… 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org — Artic is ready to go home. 🐾❄️

Story
WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 💙🌊 Meet Glacier — Your Loyal Adventure Buddy with a Heart of Gold 🌊💙 (11 Months • 50 lbs • Male • Professional Best Friend) Some dogs are fun. Some dogs are sweet. And then there’s Glacier — the kind of dog who makes you stop and think, “How has he been waiting this long?” At just 11 months old and 50 pounds, Glacier is that magical in-between size: big enough for real adventures, small enough to fit perfectly into your life (and your lap… he tries). He’s playful without being wild, affectionate without being clingy, and calm enough to settle in for end-of-day snuggles like a total pro. 🐾 Glacier’s Greatest Hits: • Fantastic with other dogs — friendly, respectful, and social • Walks beautifully on or off leash, always checking in and staying close to his person • Loves the water — rivers, splashes, wading like a happy little otter • Playful during the day, snuggly and chill at night (the best combo) • Deeply affectionate — the kind that leans into you like you’re his safe place His favorite walks at the ranch? Heading down to the river, where he can explore, splash, and soak up life at his own peaceful pace. Glacier doesn’t need chaos to be happy — he just wants his person, a little adventure, and a lot of love. What really tugs at the heartstrings is that Glacier has spent far too much of his puppyhood in rescue. While he’s stayed gentle, trusting, and joyful, it’s time he finally gets to know what it means to belong — a couch that’s his, people who are his, and a life that’s more than just waiting. He would be an absolute dream for an outdoorsy person or family — someone who loves walks, nature, water, and coming home to a dog who’s equally excited to cuddle up and call it a day. If you’re ready for a loyal companion who will walk beside you, splash beside you, and snuggle beside you — always staying close… 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org — Glacier is more than ready to be someone’s forever. 🐾💙

Story
Hi there! My name is Jack, and I’m a smart, spirited Blue Heeler mix searching for my forever home. At just a year and a half old, I’m the perfect mix of playful energy and growing maturity. I weigh about 47 pounds and have a big heart to match! I was found as a stray and spent some time living on a farm, where I proved to be a friendly guy with everyone — people, dogs, even livestock (well… except for chickens. Let’s just say we agreed to disagree). Because of that, I probably wouldn’t be the best match for a home with cats or chickens. I’ve been fostered with kids and other dogs, and I did great with them! Older children who can keep up with my active lifestyle would be best. I do enjoy the company of other pups, though I sometimes like to be the boss — but hey, someone has to be in charge! At the end of the day, I’m all about my people and love being close to them. I’m a total goofball who loves toys, treats, and anything that gets me moving. I can jump super high (especially for snacks!), and my foster mom says I’d be amazing at agility. I don’t know what that means exactly, but it sounds like a blast! I’m very food-motivated and eager to learn — training with me will be fun and rewarding. House trained? You bet! I even go to the door to let you know when it’s time to go out. Crate trained? We're working on it. I sleep through the night in my crate but would much rather hang out with you during the day.‍ Leash manners? Getting better! However a minimum 4 ft fenced in yard is a requirement for me.  I'm neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all my vaccinations — all packed up and ready to move in with my forever family. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving pup who’s ready to explore, learn, and love big — I’m your guy. Apply today to meet me as I'm available now through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA KL #16182. ##2303243##

Story
Hello! I am Raven! I am so beautiful, just check out my awesome spots. I am your typical cattle dog mix: very smart, protective, and loyal for sure. I came here as a stray, so not much is known about my past and the staff/volunteers are still getting to know me and all my quirks. I will be happiest in a family who loves toys, enjoys playing with me, and taking me on awesome walks outside (or maybe have a fenced yard for me to zoom in!) If you know cattle dog breeds, then you already know a good bit about me and my personality, but I would love to meet you and tell you all about myself too. Come on down today! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog`s better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial canine distemper combination vaccination- first worming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neutering-heartworm testingAdoption fee: $135.00Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2025 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older. Story
Here's what my friends at the shelter had to say about me! “When I first met Aura, she immediately reminded me of one of my own fosters who had just come off the euth list. She has that same gentle look, petite stature, and playful-but-manageable energy. Aura is incredibly attentive to her people and loves taking in the world around her. I’ve taken her out three different times now, and I fall a little more in love with her each time. She’ll play fetch for a few minutes, but then she settles right into cuddle mode — just leaning into you while you sit together and watch life go by.”

Story
Meet Louie -- medium in size but big in sparkle. He is a black and white beauty that does well with other dogs but he is not a fan of cats. Louie has perky ears, a striking speckled neck ruff and possesses a calm energy. Louie might take a bit of time to get to know his new family but once that happens, he will show you how wonderful he really is. He is one of those dogs who is equally up for exploring the trail and snuggling on the couch. He will bring his affectionate and grounded energy to whatever is on the agenda -- he just needs a bit of time to get to know his new family.  Louie is a courtesy post for the Brooke County Animal Shelter in Beechbottom, WV, about 45 minutes from Pittsburgh. Please contact the shelter at 304-394-0800 for more information or to arrange a meet and greet with Louie.August 5, 2025, 11:44 am
