Story
Hi there! My name is Jack, and I’m a smart, spirited Blue Heeler mix searching for my forever home. At just a year and a half old, I’m the perfect mix of playful energy and growing maturity. I weigh about 47 pounds and have a big heart to match! I was found as a stray and spent some time living on a farm, where I proved to be a friendly guy with everyone — people, dogs, even livestock (well… except for chickens. Let’s just say we agreed to disagree). Because of that, I probably wouldn’t be the best match for a home with cats or chickens. I’ve been fostered with kids and other dogs, and I did great with them! Older children who can keep up with my active lifestyle would be best. I do enjoy the company of other pups, though I sometimes like to be the boss — but hey, someone has to be in charge! At the end of the day, I’m all about my people and love being close to them. I’m a total goofball who loves toys, treats, and anything that gets me moving. I can jump super high (especially for snacks!), and my foster mom says I’d be amazing at agility. I don’t know what that means exactly, but it sounds like a blast! I’m very food-motivated and eager to learn — training with me will be fun and rewarding. House trained? You bet! I even go to the door to let you know when it’s time to go out. Crate trained? We're working on it. I sleep through the night in my crate but would much rather hang out with you during the day.‍ Leash manners? Getting better! I'm not too fond of the leash, so a fenced yard or a rural setting would be best. I'm neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all my vaccinations — all packed up and ready to move in with my forever family. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving pup who’s ready to explore, learn, and love big — I’m your guy. Apply today to meet me as I'm available now through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA KL #16182. ##2303243##

Story
Hi!  I’m Ferocious, but don't let my name fool you. I'm anything but fierce! I’m 7 years old and weigh about 40 lbs.  I’m a mixed breed of some sort. I’m probably at least part cattle dog.  My name does not describe me at all. Some words that DO describe me are gentle, loyal, loving, and obedient. I get along with people, dogs, and even cats. I have a special affinity for children. The kids in my foster home love to pet me and tell me I’m a good boy. I’m submissive with other dogs and even love kitties. I don’t mess with them at all and let them sleep next to me or rub on me whenever they want.  I’m good on a leash and a very quick learner. I didn’t really understand what it was like to live inside with a loving family, but I’m quickly adapting and always try to listen. I will just require a bit of patience while I continue to perfect my house training and learn new commands. Even though I love every dog, cat, and human in my foster home, I get a little stressed out when I have to keep track of everyone. I feel responsible for all of my friends.  I would probably do best in a quieter home where I feel I can relax.  I’m learning to like my crate more, but I would prefer a home where someone can be home with me more often than not.  Once you meet me, you will see how ironic my name is. I would love to give you cuddles, hugs, and gentle kisses.  I’m neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. I will be available for adoption on or after 6/15/25 through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA 15144, KL 16182 ##2425043##

Story
Betts (Rudy) is an awesome dog and oh so handsome!  He’s a 60pound, 13 month old red heeler and possibly Pyrenees mix. He’s a very smart boy and loves to work on training since he’s very food motivated. He is house and crate trained.  He goes 9 hours through the night without making a peep. He is a dog that prefers to have his own space. When he sees you get his food bowl ready, he immediately goes to his feeding spot and sits, waiting for permission to start eating his food. He goes and sits on his bed, after being brought in from outside, to get his feet wiped. He knows sit, down, stay, watch and touch, and is learning to walk nicely on a leash.  His recall is impressive. He’s a “velcro dog” that wants to be with you but with respectful boundaries.  He loves to be outside and active, even in the cold weather.  He’ll be a great walking, hiking, running partner or farm companion. Once he’s gotten some exercise, he’s happy to snooze on his bed.  Yes, he has herding instincts, but he doesn’t chase the livestock unless they start running and then he can’t resist joining in the fun.  He’s a pretty chill guy, but kids can make him very nervous so he is not recommended for a household with kids. An active home is a must do him but he mostly prefers  actively unloading horses or livestock (yes we know that is his dream!). Outdoor green space is necessary for this good ole boy - he is not a city slicker! ##2179601##

Story
Meet Lelu! She is a 6 month old heeler/border collie mix. She had a really tough start in life. She was found in a neglectful situation where she was crated for indefinite periods of time. Thankfully, she has found herself in foster, where she continues to gain some weight. She is a young lady who likes to be kept busy and active after finding herself free from the crate to now enjoy life, so if you have shoes laying around and she finds herself bored, be prepared, you may find her chewing on one! She currently is being fostered with other dogs so she is dog friendly! She is people friendly also! Because of her crate situation before being pulled into foster, she does suffer some separation anxiety and may need someone who works from home or spends little time away from her, along with an active lifestyle.  ##2323848##

Story
Ok, lets air it ALL out here!! Lester is NOT my given name...... it was a nickname given to me when I was saved at a gas station and attempted to "own" half the rescue crew by.... wait for it.... hump them!! Thus, Lester the **lester was born...But NOW my humping is done, I am neutered and happy and playful and much more respectful of my people! I am a gorgeous boy, and super friendly. I was found be a trucker at a truck stop- looking for love in all the wrong places :( BUT, he contacted the rescue who swooped down and saved me!! And I have been living the LIFE ever since :0 However, my life is NOT complete without my OWN family! No one really knows how i ended up at the truck stop, but you should know that I was loyal til the end..... waited and watched for my family at all hours of the day and night.... AND I will be that loyal to YOU and YOUR FAMILY! so adopt me so I don't have to watch and wait anymore ;D Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
