Story
Here's what my friends at the shelter had to say about me "Hari is just a baby… and she’s absolutely terrified in the shelter. She’s been so overwhelmed by the environment that she freezes up, unsure how to move or where to go. But even through that fear, she showed nothing but sweetness… gently taking treats, allowing pets, and giving soft little tail wags while looking up for reassurance. She is sweet and affectionate with people. She just wants love. "

Story
Meet Louie -- medium in size but big in sparkle. He is a black and white beauty that does well with other dogs but he is not a fan of cats. Louie has perky ears, a striking speckled neck ruff and possesses a calm energy. Louie might take a bit of time to get to know his new family but once that happens, he will show you how wonderful he really is. He is one of those dogs who is equally up for exploring the trail and snuggling on the couch. He will bring his affectionate and grounded energy to whatever is on the agenda -- he just needs a bit of time to get to know his new family.  Louie is a courtesy post for the Brooke County Animal Shelter in Beechbottom, WV, about 45 minutes from Pittsburgh. Please contact the shelter at 304-394-0800 for more information or to arrange a meet and greet with Louie.August 5, 2025, 11:44 am

Story
Please note that we are a foster based rescue in TX. All of our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. We transport them to new states once adopted. ALL ADOPTERS MUST BE 21+. Our app can be found at haydudeequine.org 🐾☀️ Meet Bevo — The Social Butterfly & Life of the Paw-ty ☀️🐾 Male • Border Collie x Blue Heeler Mix • Professional People Magnet & Party Starter Howdy! I’m Bevo, named after the legendary Texas Longhorn mascot because I’ve got that same big personality and Texas-sized charm. While my siblings were busy winning blue-eye contests, I was over here perfecting my “make friends with everyone” skills and looking just like my beautiful mama. I’m the ultimate social butterfly of the litter — the most people-focused pup you’ll meet. I live for meeting new humans, making them smile, and being the center of attention. If there’s a party happening, I’m not just attending… I’m the one starting the zoomies, handing out kisses, and making sure everyone feels welcome. Born on March 18th under a porch to a stray mom, I survived shelter life on the Texas-Mexico border and was pulled the day I was scheduled to be euthanized. Now I’m ready to trade that rough start for a lifetime of belly rubs and adventures! I’ve got a striking black, tan, and white coat (just like Mama), classic herding good looks, and plenty of athletic energy. I’ll grow into a medium-sized dog who’s equal parts playful party animal and loyal best friend. I love people more than anything — expect me to be your shadow, your welcome committee, and your personal hype dog all rolled into one. Life with Bevo includes: • Full-body wiggles when guests arrive • Being the official greeter at every door • Playtime that turns into snuggle time • Endless curiosity and charm • Zero stranger danger (only stranger love) If you want a dog who makes every day feel like a celebration and thinks you’re the greatest human who ever lived… I’m your boy! Ready to bring home the most social Bevo-inspired pup in Texas? Let’s make this tail a Bevo-tiful forever story! 🐾🤠

Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. ___ Meet Brody – a 5 year-old, 65-pound neutered male Cattle Dog/Pitbull mix with the perfect mix of playful energy and easygoing charm. Currently in a foster home in HOUSTON, TEXAS, Brody is ready to transport out of state once his forever family is approved. Brody is that rare, wonderful balance of being active enough to enjoy outdoor adventures and mellow enough to fully embrace a lazy day of Netflix and cuddles. Whether he’s chasing a toy in the backyard or melting into your side with his signature tongue-out smile, Brody is the definition of a lovable goofball. He doesn’t mind getting dressed up for holidays or themed events—he’s happy to strut in his rodeo best or festive costume, just as long as he’s doing it with his people. Brody has done best with friendly, laid-back female dogs and tends to prefer a more relaxed playmate. Because of his size and love for running, he may be a bit much for smaller or more timid dogs, but he’s also fully content being your one-and-only pup, as long as he has space to stretch his legs and get some zoomies out in the yard. A home with a secure backyard is ideal for him to enjoy some off-leash play. He’s a gentle sweetheart with people—always happy to meet new faces and has done well with the children he’s met. Because of his playful energy, we recommend a home with older, dog-savvy kids (8–10+) who are steady on their feet and understand how to respectfully interact with dogs. Brody would love nothing more than a buddy to play with, run around the yard, and then wind down with for snuggles. No cats for Brody, please, as he’s not quite sure how to share space with feline friends. When it comes to leash manners, Brody is a total gentleman. He walks calmly on a loose leash, stays close by, and enjoys a good stroll. He’s also fully housebroken and crate trained, and does wonderfully in his crate when left unsupervised, especially since he currently shares a home with other dogs. He loves his plush toys—especially giving their faces a little “customization” with his enthusiastic chomps! Brody is smart, food-motivated, and eager to please. He thrives in a home that offers structure, consistency, and encouragement. His foster mom has put in great work helping him polish his obedience skills, and he’s made huge progress! While he may still get a little excited around assertive male dogs, with calm guidance and continued positive experiences, he’s continued to show how well he can adapt. He would be a great match for someone with experience with Cattle Dogs, Pitbulls, or other intelligent working breeds. These dogs are deeply loyal, affectionate, and thrive when they have a purpose—whether that’s going on a hike, learning a new trick, or just being your loyal shadow. Brody doesn’t need a super active lifestyle, but he would love a couple of daily walks, light adventure time, and maybe a fun activity like scent work, agility, or basic obedience classes to keep his mind sharp and his bond with you strong. At the end of the day, Brody is a happy, affectionate, low-maintenance boy who’s easy to please. All he wants is a soft bed, a few toys, a cozy home, and someone to love him. He’s come so far during his time in foster care and is more than ready to start his next chapter with a family who sees how truly special he is. ___ ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt him?
