Story
Janine is an energetic and athletic Australian Cattle Dog who will be 4 in March. She’s full of life, loves to play fetch, and enjoys swimming whenever she can. Janine is incredibly loyal and obedient, thriving on structure and human companionship. She’s potty and crate trained, healthy, and has no illnesses or medical issues. Janine would do best in a home with adults only, with no children or other pets. While she’s wonderful with adults and loves to cuddle, she has shown aggression towards other animals and young children, so a calm, pet-free environment is ideal. She forms strong bonds with her people and will be a devoted, affectionate companion for the right family. Janine is truly a loving, high-spirited dog who deserves a home that matches her energy and loyalty. We hope to find someone who can give her the attention, exercise, and love she thrives on.

With her friendly personality and young age, Camellia is the perfect mix of fun, affection, and good manners. She’s ready to bring joy, adventure, and lots of love to her forever family. Phillie is quite the catch with his tri-colored fur and intelligent personality. Phillie is ready to play at all times but like all pups, he plays hard and naps harder. Phillie is doing great with crate training and sleeping through the night. With his loving nature and bright mind, Phillie is sure to make a wonderful companion for a family ready to grow and learn alongside him. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate pup to add to your life, Phillie might be the perfect match. --- To apply to adopt, please follow the steps for adoption on HalfwayThereRescue.com/Adoption-Process and apply directly here: https://fs26.formsite.com/htrnp/a2k3lsooud/index.html

Story
“You can’t resist reading Pointer’s profile  because he is so darn cute, but Pointer isn’t for everyone. Pointer is a Blue Heeler mix, weighing in at less than 30 lbs. Just like bigger herding dogs, Pointer likes to chase, herd, nip heels and is very strong-willed. Pointer needs lots of exercise and must have mental stimulation throughout the day. He enjoys learning commands and working on his obedience commands and would make an excellent agility, nose work, scent work or other sport participant. Pointer is not a couch potato and when left to entertain himself, he can get into trouble. Pointer needs a person who is experienced with herding breeds or dogs who are competitive in sports and are not put off by his strong personality.  With the right person, Pointer can be the ultimate friend!  I would not be a candidate for an apartment, condo/townhome or a home without a fence. If interested in giving me a forever home please complete an application at www.safeanimalhaven.com Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler Characteristics Standing between 17 to 20 inches at the shoulder, the Australian Cattle Dog is a sturdy, hard-muscled herder of strength and agility. The ACD is born with a white coat that turns blue-gray or red. Both coat varieties feature distinctive mottling or specking patterns. ACDs have immense work drive and excel at hunting, chasing, and, of course, moving livestock. Their boundless energy and supple gait make them excellent running partners.ACDs are true-blue loyal, famously smart, ever alert, and wary of strangers. If an ACD isn’t challenged, he easily becomes bored and gets into mischief. It is recommended that ACD owners participate with their dog in some work, sport, or regular exercise to keep him mentally and physically fit.November 5, 2024, 12:12 am
