Story
“You can’t resist reading Pointer’s profile  because he is so darn cute, but Pointer isn’t for everyone. Pointer is a Blue Heeler mix, weighing in at less than 30 lbs. Just like bigger herding dogs, Pointer likes to chase, herd, nip heels and is very strong-willed. Pointer needs lots of exercise and must have mental stimulation throughout the day. He enjoys learning commands and working on his obedience commands and would make an excellent agility, nose work, scent work or other sport participant. Pointer is not a couch potato and when left to entertain himself, he can get into trouble. Pointer needs a person who is experienced with herding breeds or dogs who are competitive in sports and are not put off by his strong personality.  With the right person, Pointer can be the ultimate friend!  I would not be a candidate for an apartment, condo/townhome or a home without a fence. If interested in giving me a forever home please complete an application at www.safeanimalhaven.com Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler Characteristics Standing between 17 to 20 inches at the shoulder, the Australian Cattle Dog is a sturdy, hard-muscled herder of strength and agility. The ACD is born with a white coat that turns blue-gray or red. Both coat varieties feature distinctive mottling or specking patterns. ACDs have immense work drive and excel at hunting, chasing, and, of course, moving livestock. Their boundless energy and supple gait make them excellent running partners.ACDs are true-blue loyal, famously smart, ever alert, and wary of strangers. If an ACD isn’t challenged, he easily becomes bored and gets into mischief. It is recommended that ACD owners participate with their dog in some work, sport, or regular exercise to keep him mentally and physically fit.April 21, 2024, 12:08 am

Story
Hello and meet Zion ! We acquired him at a shelter in Chicago July 2020 years ago when he was around 1 year old. He will be 5 years old in July. We are looking for a safe, fun and outdoor type environment for Zion so he can thrive. We have been unable to give him the time he deserves since I work full time. My wife and I have a 2.5 year old child, and my wife recently gave birth to twins end of March. Zion needs an environment that could include another pet to play with, frequent trips to the park and an outdoor area to run around. Zion is an incredible dog and well trained. He is a very happy, uplifting dog that is good with people, dogs and children. He is definitely high energy that goes along with his breed of cattle dog, husky and maybe some german shepherd in him. He is playful, likes pets and very very loyal. Also a great hiking dog! This is an extremely tough decision for us but we know there is a better place out there for him so he can get more love !

Story
Blue Tellico is a lively 15-month-old Blue Heeler boy that is smart and everything you expect in a Blue Heeler/Cattle Dog. Trained by professionals, Blue Tellico showcases impressive agility and quickness with a strong passion to spend lots of time outdoors looking for adventures and romping in the local creek and looking for squirrels to chase. Despite his energetic nature, Tellico is incredibly affectionate and adores cuddle sessions. The ideal home is a setting with space to run and explore in the woods, a creek or water source nearby for him to play in, too.  BlueTellico gets along well with other animals but isn't suited for households with young children because he tries to herd them and the current children are scared of him and his desire to round them up.  He would truly be good on a horse farm or someplace that caters to his outdoor need. We do encourage anyone interested, to be sure you understand the Blue Heeler breed and are willing to be his leader.  Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 22, 2024, 1:56 pm

Story
Ethel is the name given to this pretty girl and honestly it is NOT a pretty enough name for this Cattle Dog girl.  Look at this black beauty with a bob tail and at just a year old, she weighs a little over 20 pounds and is fully grown.   She is adorable and needs a great home that will allow her to play and learn and be a wonderful hiking and family companion.  Ethel is said to be mostly housebroken but a little reinforcing and scheduling will help make that 100%.  What Ethel needs is a foster home and soon a real family or person will come along.  She is very special!!!  ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 22, 2024, 1:56 pm

Story
My name is Choji :) I am four years and 3 months old. My fur mom adopted me directly from my real mom's owner when I was three months old. I am house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. I do pull on the leash a little, because I get really excited about where I'm headed. I know sit, stay, paw, spin, up, and down. I love dogs. I get along with kids. I have never been near cats. I LOVE cuddles, and kisses, and FOOD. Oh, I really love food. Blueberries, strawberries, broccoli, apples, and peanut butter are all my favorites...especially peanut butter! Hiking is my favorite activity outside of home. My last vet visit was on 4/09/2024. The adoption fee will cover that visit, and a six-month supply of my Simparica TRIO. I am a good boy! My mom is only doing this because she knows I deserve more time and attention than what she can provide. After dad left, she could barely hang on to herself, so.... I can't wait to meet my new hoomans soon! :)

Woof! Julia here, the quirky and lovable adventure enthusiast in search of my perfect pack! I'm not one to sit around; walks, hikes, and camping are my jam! But here's the catch – I'm not a fan of being left alone. I crave a family that's home more often, 'cause snuggles are my superpower. Oh, and did I mention my foster brother? Backyard romps are a blast with him! I may be active, but I'm all about gentle cuddles too. If you're up for a playful yet affectionate companion, let's embark on a journey of laughter and love together! 🐾❤️Submit your application today at www.southcharlottedogrescue.com!
