Story
Kahla is actually a wonderful dog. She is about 1yo. German shepherd/cattle dog mix. I am 5’4” she comes just above my knee, about 50lbs. More cattle dog than German shepherd traits, very high energy. We have a fenced in 1/4 acre and would say it is not enough. She knows basic commands and is completely house and crate trained. She has zero health concerns. She is good with other dogs and cats. Her bestie is a 10lb maltipoo. She absolutely loves to chew and dig. She is a great tracker and easily trees small animals like squirrels, and has went hunting with my son a couple of times. Her sniffer is top notch. She is great with kids from newborn on up. She has never shown any aggression whatsoever. She is a baby binkie and sock thief :) I believe she would be an amazing girl for someone’s family, just not ours.

We took Prancer in after my brother, who was going through a divorce, said that he was going to drop him off at the shelter. He’s been with us since November and unfortunately we can’t keep him permanently. We are moving and they do not allow dogs at the new place. He is a great dog, super mellow, loves going to the dog park, he’s very low needs and easy. Has lived with kids and another dog pretty much his whole life. We had a cat here and he did great with her.

Story
I’m Splat, a bubbly, beautiful Australian cattle dog – a petite girl with a great big personality!I was found running along an interstate highway and a kind person stopped and took me to safety. I’m at the Humane Society of York County now and looking for my forever home. I’m a smaller gal, about 20-25 pounds, and my estimated birth date is February 2022.I’m an energetic girl, typical of a cattle dog, and I love to run and play. I’m very affectionate and enjoy snuggling with my human friends. Bonus – I have the softest fur! I’m generous with my kisses and I confess that I like to have my share of attention. Well, actually all of the attention – I would do best in a home as the only pet.I would be a perfect companion for someone who loves to be on the go. I love my play time but also enjoy just being with my people.Like most cattle dogs, I’m a very intelligent girl and I learn new things quickly. I’ve started school at Zoom Room in Fort Mill and I’ve wowed everyone with how well I’ve learned all my important skills. I’ve also had the best time working on Zoom Room’s agility equipment! My friends at HSYC say I’m just the best girl, a total love bug. If you’re in need of an adorable companion to hang out at your side, call to meet me!If you wish to meet me, please call the Humane Society of York County at (803)-802-0902 to schedule an appointment. Please refer to our website for adoption requirements: https://humanesocietyofyorkcounty.org/adopt/adoption-process.htmlThank you for your support.

Story
He needed to have a temporary home and my daughter brought him home he was hurt by another dog he needed surgery. We paid to have it done and have kept him and nursed him back to health but unfortunately, we live in an apartment complex and he is a playful dog and he would love somewhere where he could play outside and do all the fun things that we can’t accommodate that well for him and it’s unfair for him to be cooped up inside he is so loving and sweet
