Danny's tender, young life had been a tough road that ended with him being dumped at the shelter gravely wounded.  He had been dragged "accidentallly" by the truck taking him to the shelter to be dumped and his feet were raw, bloody and extremely painful and had some other cuts and bruises...he was lucky to be alive.   He could barely walk let alone stand without being in excruciating pain. This poor guy had been through so much in his very young life that we had to save him and get him whole and painfree.  It was a tough road as you can imagine but he was always such a great patient and he could tell we were trying to help him.  Weeks upon weeks of having to wear an Elizabethan collar and lots of TLC from us, he was mended and we began to see his amazing little personality shine through.   He just blossomed and has become the sweetest, funniest boy!  He loves to play with other dogs but is also content to play with toys by himself.  He is also very happy basking in the sun.   Danny is a smart boy and is willing to please.  He is food motivated so training him is a breeze.  He's a younger adult with lots of energy so an active person or family with children over 10 would be perfect.  He deserves his happily ever and his REAL day in the sun! Just like bigger herding dogs, Pointer likes to chase, herd, nip heels and is very strong-willed. Pointer needs lots of exercise and must have mental stimulation throughout the day. He enjoys learning commands and working on his obedience commands and would make an excellent agility, nose work, scent work or other sport participant. Pointer is not a couch potato and when left to entertain himself, he can get into trouble. Pointer needs a person who is experienced with herding breeds or dogs who are competitive in sports and are not put off by his strong personality.  With the right person, Pointer can be the ultimate friend!  I would not be a candidate for an apartment, condo/townhome or a home without a fence. The ACD is born with a white coat that turns blue-gray or red. Both coat varieties feature distinctive mottling or specking patterns. ACDs have immense work drive and excel at hunting, chasing, and, of course, moving livestock. Their boundless energy and supple gait make them excellent running partners.ACDs are true-blue loyal, famously smart, ever alert, and wary of strangers. If an ACD isn’t challenged, he easily becomes bored and gets into mischief. 1.5 years old ~~ 23 lbs Pickle is the kind of dog who makes every day brighter. Abandoned at a boarding facility, this spirited little firecracker hasn’t let his past dim his shine. He’s bursting with energy, joy, and affection, and he’s ready to share it all with his forever family. Pickle loves people and other dogs alike! Potty trained, crate trained, and car-ride approved, he’s as practical as he is playful. He even takes baths like a champ! This guy can RUN!! and boy does he love it. He had a 10x20 outdoor run for six months and now he's racing around his fosters' yard so fast, he's a blur. Pickle really wants a fenced yard to catch up on all the running he missed out on! He loves fetch, stuffed toys and playing with other dogs. He's very entertaining! Though he hasn’t had any training yet, Pickle is eager to learn and very teachable— he’s already shown how quickly he picks things up when given consistency and praise. This happy, affectionate pup is looking for someone who wants an adventure buddy, playmate and best friend all rolled into one.
