I’m a love bug who likes to lean into my people with all 40 pounds of me, or climb into a lap when one’s available.I came to the Humane Society as a stray. I’m still new to the shelter and haven’t made new dog friends yet, but I joined the other HSYC dogs for a long trek along the Riverwalk recently. Teddy is 2 years old. He’s a big silly puppy. He’s so sweet and high energy (half because his siblings fire him up). He’s honestly the best and sweetest pup we have towards our 1yr old baby and they are buddies. Unfortunately, we have managed with all of our animals and baby but JUST found out we are expecting twins and we just can’t maintain giving all of our dogs the attention they deserve too and us stay sane :) Teddy is getting fixed this week at our vet and he is well trained to report to his kennel when needed (night time, day time while at work, etc). I’d love to find him a happy carefree home like he has now! I think he’d be a great solo dog but also loves his siblings.

What can we say about Nena?  Well, we can tell you a lot! Nena was originally surrendered to an animal shelter at 3 months of age.  At 6 months, she was finally adopted, but sadly, she was returned 3 months later when her adoptive family had some medical issues. They realized that they were not able to give Neena the full attention and care she needed. Neena is now 10 months old and around 40 pounds.  During her three months in a home, Nena was DNA tested. The results were that she is 31.3 % Australian Cattle Dog, 22% German Shepherd Dog, and 21% Boxer. The rest is unknown. We were told that Nena enjoys camping, walking, meeting other dogs and getting a ton of belly rubs.  We are happy that we have the opportunity to help Nena find another family that will help her continue to grow, throw her a frisbee or ball - which are her favorite activities in the world – and give her all the attention and exercise she needs.  If you are interested in adopting Nena, please submit an inquiry directly with Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. ***Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. My name is Choji :) I am four years and 3 months old. My fur mom adopted me directly from my real mom's owner when I was three months old. I am house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. I do pull on the leash a little, because I get really excited about where I'm headed. I know sit, stay, paw, spin, up, and down. I love dogs. I get along with kids. I have never been near cats. I LOVE cuddles, and kisses, and FOOD. Oh, I really love food. Blueberries, strawberries, broccoli, apples, and peanut butter are all my favorites...especially peanut butter! Hiking is my favorite activity outside of home. My last vet visit was on 4/09/2024. The adoption fee will cover that visit, and a six-month supply of my Simparica TRIO. I am a good boy! My mom is only doing this because she knows I deserve more time and attention than what she can provide. After dad left, she could barely hang on to herself, so.... I can't wait to meet my new hoomans soon! :)
