Kirby is ready to find himself a forever home. This young heeler mix still has puppy energy so would do best in an active family with plenty of exercise. He LOVES water and will play in it whenever possible. Kirby will chase a cat but ignores cats who ignore him.

Story
Tito is an energetic pup! He is estimated to be roughly 7 months old and LOVES to play! He has done well with most other dogs in our shelter, but may be a bit much for some. Tito would benefit greatly from some basic puppy training and a home with children 10 or older. He's still learning how to play gently and may overwhelm younger kiddos. Tito would make a great addition to an active family that spends much of their time outdoors.

Story
Hey Pal, It's your cousin, Vinny! This smartypants Heeler loves his food puzzles & tennis balls and knows "sit, stay, paw & give paw". He's lived with multiple cats and dogs successfully, as well as a 10-year-old kid. He was reportedly housetrained in his previous home, and was mostly able to be left free in the home when alone. He's looking for someone who can take him on some gentle walks or has a good ball throwing arm so he can drop some lbs. Drive off with Vinny and live happily ever after.

Story
Donovan truly puts the "special" in special needs. This happy-go-lucky pup. was born with spina bifida which means a portion of his spinal cord is damaged leaving him without the use of his back legs. This disability doesn't slow Donovan down one bit. He hops like a little kangaroo all around the back yard in his foster home, "chasing" his foster doggy brothers and sisters. Donovan loves to play fetch and tug-o-war. He is a very social pup. Truth be told, Donovan has never met anyone or anything that he doesn't immediately love! Donovan has a wheelchair that is a little big for him right now but will be just the right size once he is full grown (and will go along with him to whoever adopts him). As a result of Donovan's disability, he is incontinent. But, a doggy diaper goes a long way towards managing messes. Donovan is up-to-date on his vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting this very "special" handicapable pup, please contact kathie@herdinghaven.

Story
Abandoned in rural Utah, Journey spent several weeks along the interstate alluding good Samaritans who tried to catch her. Once caught and taken to the local shelter, poor Journey spent several more weeks cowering in the corner of her kennel growling and barking at anyone who came near. She was just so frightened! Finally, a shelter worker gained her trust and Journey's fun and playful personality came out. Journey is still wary of people she doesn't know; but she warms up very quickly (typically 5 minutes or less). She prefers women to men and is not tolerant of children (particularly small/young children).. Journey is estimated to be 3-4 yr old. She loves to play with other dogs once she feels comfortable with them (a proper introduction to a new dog is key); but, can be a bit of a pest, so a home without another dog or a puppy (who is as much of a pest as she is) would be best for her. Journey is house-broken, crate-trained and walks well on a leash. She is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting Journey, please respond to this post or contact kathie@herdinghaven.

Story
Hi! My name is Tommy and I am a herding mix puppy (cattle dog x Aussie x kelpie and maybe a few other things thrown in). I was rescued from a rural shelter with my brother Jerry when we were just tiny babies. We are growing like weeds! I am an active and playful little pup. I love to cuddle with my foster mama and act like a big shot with all the adult dogs in my foster home. I would love an active family that will take me on lots of outdoor adventures. A fenced yard is a must in my new home. I am still a bit mouthy and have a pretty strong herding drive, so a home without small/young children would be best. Kids over the age of 13 yr would be "OK". I am crate-trained, 95% housebroken (I still have an accident every once in awhile) and up-to-date on my vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting me, please contact kathie@herdinghaven.org. (Please note; adopters must be over 21 yr of age).
