Story
Meet the Big Hunk a sweet treat little treat from the Candy Bar Litter! This adorable pup and four siblings came into the world with a tough start — their brave mama was tragically hit by a car. Thankfully, a kind-hearted Good Samaritan found the babies and made sure they were safe. From there, they made the journey from New Mexico to Utah in search of loving forever homes. Big Hunk may have had a rough start in life but you’d never know it by that happy tail and gentle spirit. He’s full of puppy joy — belly rubs, zoomies, and snuggles are his specialties. Like all young pups, he’s learning the ropes of life, and his wonderful foster family is helping him discover just how amazing people can be. He’s wiggly, sweet, and adores attention — the kind of puppy who melts into your arms and makes every day brighter. While we’re still waiting for her Embark DNA results (thanks to our friends at Ollie Pet Food!), we already know one thing for sure: he is 100% delightful. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion to fill your home with joy, laughter, and puppy kisses, this Big Hunk may be your perfect match. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 4, 2026, 8:24 pm

Story
Meet Chewie — Our Little Bear Cub Looking for His Forever Home This sweet boy is Chewie, named for his uncanny resemblance to Chewbacca — though around here, we lovingly call him our little bear cub. At just 2 years old, this sweet boy has already been through more than most dogs should ever experience. He was saved from a rural shelter just days before euthanasia, and we are so grateful he was given the chance he deserved. Chewie can be shy when meeting new people, but with a little love and patience, he quickly becomes your fluffy little shadow. He is calm, sweet, and incredibly gentle — a true old soul in a young body. He’s the perfect lap dog who’s happiest basking in the sun or curled up beside you. Chewie at a Glance: • 2-year-old Aussie/Collie mix • Neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped • Potty trained and very well mannered • Walks beautifully on leash • Calm, quiet, and affectionate • Great with kids & other dogs Chewie gets along well with other dogs but prefers not to play — he becomes scared if chased and would do best with mellow canine companions or as an only dog. He has not been cat tested, but due to his history of chasing chickens as a stray, a home without cats or small livestock would be the safest fit. Chewie would thrive in a calm, loving home where he can spend his days snuggling, sunbathing, and being quietly adored. Chewie will be available for adoption on February 12th — just in time to be your perfect Valentine’s date! Story
Oscar is READY for ADOPTION! Oscar’s journey hasn’t been easy. He was found after being hit by a car, left injured with a broken leg. After serving his stray hold, he officially became a Mountain Mama Pyrs & Pups dog, and MMPP stepped in to cover all of his medical care so he could get the help he deserved. Despite everything, Oscar is still full of life, love, and joy. His broken leg hasn’t slowed him down one bit. He has one more veterinary appointment in about two weeks, where we’re hopeful to see good healing progress and possibly get his cast removed. Oscar would do best in a home with a yard where he can run and play, and he’s looking for a committed adopter ready to give him stability and see him through the rest of his healing. Moving dogs causes so much stress, and Oscar is ready to land somewhere for good. This boy is resilient, affectionate, and has the biggest heart. If you’re looking for a survivor who will love you endlessly, Oscar is waiting. Apply to adopt and give him the forever he’s fought so hard for.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 5, 2026, 5:53 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, I’m Jazzper! I’m a 5-year-old male Aussie mix with a big heart and a sharp mind. I’ve been with one family since I was a puppy and now I’m ready for a new forever home. While I didn’t get much early exposure to other dogs, I grew up absolutely loving people. I bond deeply with my humans and enjoy being part of their daily life. New dogs make me uncomfortable, so I’m reactive to unfamiliar dogs and will need to be the only pet in my forever home—but trust me, I have more than enough love and personality to fill it. I thrive when I’m active and engaged. Walks and hikes are some of my favorite things, and I do best with a person who enjoys getting outside and can give me both physical exercise and mental stimulation every day. I’m a herding breed mix, after all—my brain likes a job! I’m already housetrained, kennel trained, and muzzle trained, which helps me stay safe and successful in the world while I keep learning. My ideal forever family will be experienced, patient, and committed to helping me be my best self. I should live in a home without kids under 12, and I need someone who will continue my obedience training with a dedicated trainer who understands reactive herding dogs. With the right structure, guidance, and consistency, I shine. If you’re an active person looking for a loyal companion who’s eager to work, learn, and adventure by your side, I might just be your perfect match. Could you be the family for me?
