Kirby is ready to find himself a forever home. This young heeler mix still has puppy energy so would do best in an active family with plenty of exercise. He LOVES water and will play in it whenever possible. Kirby will chase a cat but ignores cats who ignore him.

Story
Tito is an energetic pup! He is estimated to be roughly 7 months old and LOVES to play! He has done well with most other dogs in our shelter, but may be a bit much for some. Tito would benefit greatly from some basic puppy training and a home with children 10 or older. He's still learning how to play gently and may overwhelm younger kiddos. Tito would make a great addition to an active family that spends much of their time outdoors.

Story
Meet Cassidy! Soft and sweet little 10 week old Mini- Aussie mix pup is a perfect mix between playful and cuddly- but is also very reserved and calm. She enjoys her people and hanging out with her dog friends. She is very smart and observant and likes to watch what is going on around her. Cassidy is a generally quiet, calm and easy going girl who is looking for an easy going home that can gently expose her to all the good things in life. This darling little pup currently weighs just 9 lbs. and will likely only grow to be a petite 30-40 lbs.- the perfect sized adventure and snuggle buddy! Cassidy is doing well at crate and potty training and with a little more guidance will be spot on. She loves to go for car rides and to hang out with her dog friends and people. Her ideal home would be active, and have other dogs for companionship. Cassidy is a passive and soft girl who is looking forward to learning lots of new tricks, meeting lots of new people and pets, and going on lots of adventures with her people. Her adoption fee is $300 and includes first years vaccines, spay, microchip, health check and deworming. To be considered, please apply online at caws.org. Thanks! Story
Hi, I am Shinzo: an 9 yr old, 70 lb male McNab mix. The first word that comes to mind when you see me is regal, being poised in my stature, walk and behavior, but you might catch me playfully hopping with my dog buddies. When we first meet I need a moment to stand back to check you out just to determine if you're friend or foe, but don't worry...I'm a love bug after I've made my decision and see that you are worthy. I get along great with the dogs in my foster house, and I am great with kids. (Sorry, I don't like cats though.) I prefer not to bark (even when others are) as I am too well-mannered, but I have a wonderful deep bark if needed. I already know how to use a doggy door and am completely trained to do my business outside. Unlike some of my herding friends, I'm not hyperactive. I do need room and time to exercise (wait till you see how good I am on a leash!) but I also enjoy a nice nap at your side. I might nudge you with my nose if I feel you're ignoring me, but you'll think it's super cute. Don't fret, this regal boy doesn't require a throne...just a home and family where I can show you what a perfect dog I am to love and to love you.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. Story
Are you looking for a quirky, easy going, and absolutely delightful dog? Take a look at Lucille! Lucille is an 8-year-old, 67-pound aussie/heeler mix. Her foster family just adores her and antics. Yes, you will notice her nose, but if her nose doesn't stop her... it shouldn't stop anyone else. Lucille does have discoid lupus and will require some medication and special care, especially as her nose is sensitive to sunlight. Lucille is all wiggle butt and she's really good at expressing herself (which is usually telling you dinner is late). She's housetrained, great on a leash and loves walks, but she also really just likes snoozing. Lucille gets along with dogs and cats and seems to genuinely enjoy the kids in her foster home (they are 10+). About the only things in life she doesn't approve of are thunderstorms and car rides where she shows some anxiety. Lucille is working hard on building up stamina and walking off some excess weight and she'd love a home with daily walks, but more than anything, she would love a family to call her own. If Lucille sounds like the one for you, please fill out an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Story
Well hello there humans! Anyone looking for a chill, low-maintenance cattle dog? (Wait, what??) Yes, you heard right. It is me, Everest, and I'm a middle aged (5-6 years old) 50 lb cattle dog who just wants to hang out with my family and snuggle on the couch. I am such a good boy. I am crate trained and potty trained. While I will happily go on all the hikes and walks with you if that's what you like, my energy needs are fairly low and I just don't need to be a wild and crazy adventure dog. That's not really my jam. I would probably do just fine in an apartment hanging out and cuddling with you. Snuggles are my favorite thing! While I may come off as a big macho dude at first and I might need you to show me what's appropriate when meeting new people, I am very good at listening and taking your queue and once I get to know you, I am just a big softie of a sweetheart. I am good with kids, but I would probably prefer to be the only dog. Cats are still an unknown. If you'd like to meet Everest, please fill out an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application!
