Story
Rrrrruffff! I'm Kya! I'm a happy and smiley girl! I love people and I'm a very sweet girl. I can be a tiny bit anxious but with time I come out of my shell pretty easily! I'm a cattle dog mix, and I have some white, brown and black in my coat! I'm quite beautiful, and I smile often! I'm dog friendly, I currently go out with two other large female foster sisters and a foster brother! At first, I try to work and will to herd everyone. That's my job, so that's what I do! But,, I play and jump around once I know my duties have been completed! I'm potty and crate trained! My foster Mom lets me out in the yard (fenced in), and I get to play with others and do my business. When I'm all done, I go straight to my crate, where I'm fed and given water! I do like to play in the water too, sometimes I just stand in it. I'm a great adventure partner too, I love adventures! The only adventures I go on right now are to Home Depot, Marshall's, and my favorite...the drive thru at Starbucks! I get to get a pup cup every time! Watch how good I was at my last trip to Marshall's with my Foster Mom here: https://youtu.be/CJkoorJ859w?feature=shared I'm so happy that I'll be able to find my forever home soon. I would love to provide all the love and affection to someone or a whole family! Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan• 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Hey there! Meet Mitch, the big love bug you've been waiting for! 🐾 Mitch is a 75-pound bundle of love who's mastered being both a gentle giant and a cuddle king. At 2 years young, he's got the perfect balance of energy and chill, making him a great addition to any family. One of Mitch's top skills?! He's a pro at making friends, whether they're big or small. Yep, he's that cool dude who gets along with everyone. We have had him with small grumpy dogs and big playful dogs and Mitch just hangs out with everyone. Watch Mitch here: https://youtube.com/watch?v=6NpLeNQkVqU&feature=shared When it comes to activities, Mitch is all about that fetch life! Throw him a ball, and he'll be your best buddy in no time. Plus, he's got some serious catching skills when it comes to treats! Leash time? No problemo! Mitch is a pro walker, with a loose leash, making strolls around the neighborhood an absolute breeze. And here's the kicker: he's totally chill when left alone. No separation anxiety here, folks! We haven’t even heard him bark. But wait, there's more! Mitch is a certified people lover. He's got enough love to go around for everyone he meets. Mitch’s favorite are the booty scratches that make him leeeaaaan into your lap and rollover. He also says he doesn’t mind those ear rubs. So, if you need a cuddle buddy or a loyal companion, Mitch is your guy! Ready to welcome Mitch into your heart and home? We are ready to answer any questions you might have! 🐶❤️ Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/663977ccf0fbf73a300b36d9 Please email Jessica@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi! My name is Mandrill M (they call me Maddie). I would really like to find my forever home for the holidays. Let me tell you about myself. I am about six months old and the best guess on my breed is heeler/hound mix, definitely some hound in there as I like to use  my nose and you will notice the floppy ears and I am sure you noticed my stunning eyes. My best part of the day is playing with my foster sister and watching her so I can learn. She is a good teacher. I am potty trained and I spend my nights in a little area made just for me where I feel safe. My foster Mom always gives me treats before bed to make sure I know it is a good place. I have learned some basic commands like sit and I know go potty! That’s when it’s cold outside and Mom is in a hurry. I am just starting to learn fetch and I am working really hard on off as I really love to hug and it’s hard for me not to want to jump up to hug you. I am a good traveler in the car so it’s easy to take me with you. I live with 2 cats but I do like to taunt them so only cats that are smart about dogs would be best. I get along great with all size of dogs as long as they are nice to me. Oh and I should not forget to tell you that I am great on a leash. The hardest thing for me is meeting new people. I am very timid so I really need someone who is patient and willing to let me get familiar with you before you expect those hugs but once I am comfortable get ready because I will want lots of loves and reassurance. I am eager to learn and adventures would help me to build confidence and help me to bond with you. I will get very attached to you because I will be looking to you for reassurance to know I am safe. I am so excited to find my new home and become part of a family. If you think you could love me for a life time please apply to meet me at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 25, 2024, 6:58 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi! I’m Gladys Herdman I’m an energetic and affectionate Heeler mix looking for my forever home! I’m a playful pup that is full of spunk and loves to explore the great outdoors. I am looking for a family that enjoys staying active and can provide me with plenty of exercise to help me burn off my youthful energy. I’m a social butterfly who thrives on the company of other dogs and would make a great companion for a household with canine siblings. I adore belly rubs and cuddle sessions after a good play session. I’m a smart girl that is already dog door/potty trained, as well as crate trained. I walk well on a leash and am eager to learn new tricks and commands, making me a great candidate for further training. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This famous looking boy is Bugle. He is 3 ½ month old heeler mix pup. Recently we confirmed what we had been thinking for weeks - Bugle is deaf. If he hears anything at all, it is very little. This doesn’t slow him down a bit! He is a super smart boy and is learning hand signals and doing a great job with commands like come and sit. Bugle is a bit behind his siblings on housetraining but is half way there and does great when let out regularly. Bugle loves to play with toys and get pets. He often climbs up on his people’s laps for snuggles. He also likes to watch TV if there is enough action happening. He sleeps all night in a kennel but will loudly let you know when he is awake and wants to go outside. Bugle’s family will need to be committed to extra training to help him be the best boi he can be. If your family can provide a great home for Bugle please apply to meet him today at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 25, 2024, 6:58 pm
