Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, I’m Jazzper! I’m a 5-year-old male Aussie mix with a big heart and a sharp mind. I’ve been with one family since I was a puppy and now I’m ready for a new forever home. While I didn’t get much early exposure to other dogs, I grew up absolutely loving people. I bond deeply with my humans and enjoy being part of their daily life. New dogs make me uncomfortable, so I’m reactive to unfamiliar dogs and will need to be the only pet in my forever home—but trust me, I have more than enough love and personality to fill it. I thrive when I’m active and engaged. Walks and hikes are some of my favorite things, and I do best with a person who enjoys getting outside and can give me both physical exercise and mental stimulation every day. I’m a herding breed mix, after all—my brain likes a job! I’m already housetrained, kennel trained, and muzzle trained, which helps me stay safe and successful in the world while I keep learning. My ideal forever family will be experienced, patient, and committed to helping me be my best self. I should live in a home without kids under 12, and I need someone who will continue my obedience training with a dedicated trainer who understands reactive herding dogs. With the right structure, guidance, and consistency, I shine. If you’re an active person looking for a loyal companion who’s eager to work, learn, and adventure by your side, I might just be your perfect match. Could you be the family for me? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hello, potential families! We are the literary litter – all named after influential authors. We are Steinbeck, Twain, Hawthorne, Burroughs, Richardson, Bradbury and Bierce. We are looking for our very own families who will help us write our stories! Let us set the scene. We were living in a rural shelter. It was a bit cold and hopeless feeling, without much potential for “Happily ever after”. However, the people who worked there were so nice and caring! They said “Let’s try a rescue.” Rescue Rovers said yes (!) and the seven of us boys came to our foster home! It’s been pretty great since then. We get regular meals, soft warm blankets, other dogs to play with, even a little boy to run around with. We’ve really enjoyed our time here, but it’s time to begin our next chapter. A little backstory for you – we are listed as cattle dog mixes (looks like some pittie in the mix!) and we are 3 months old. We are fun and playful pups, and we are smart, too! We are 50% or more on our potty training and we come running if our foster mom whistles. We’re looking for homes full of love, mostly. We’d also love to be active, go to training classes and have other dogs or kids to play with. We’re ready to find you! Are you ready for us? Apply to meet us today at or come meet us at the Riverton IFA adoption event this Saturday! PS - We don’t want to lean too heavily on foreshadowing, but we’re pretty sure you’re going to love us. Howlooo, i'm Steinbeck and I'm an intelligent and thoughtful as the author I'm named for. I love snuggles and I love to play. My favorite games are tug and chase the ball. I am learning how to walk on a leash, learning, indoor manners, including potty outside. I was introduced to the dog door and some other basic commands. I haven't mastered yet, but I'm working on it. My foster mom highly recommends training because it will bond us together and keep my very big very smart brain on track. I am a working dog and I need work training gives me work to do so I don't find my own work and your house stays pristine. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Bonded Senior Sweethearts Looking for a Soft Place to Land    Miss Mayze (9, tan) and Serena Marie (7, speckled) are two loving senior girls searching for a forever home — together. After their beloved owner passed away, they found themselves in rescue, and now they’re simply hoping for comfort, stability, and a family with a true heart of gold to help them live out their golden years side by side.   Miss Mayze – The Gentle Old Lady   Miss Mayze is a sweet, older soul who prefers a calm and peaceful home. She’s low energy, housetrained, and coexists beautifully with other dogs and cats. She enjoys the simple things — especially a comfy bed and a quiet place to rest near her people.   She is hard of hearing and has some difficulty getting around, and she will need a daily liver supplement to help her continue living her best life. Miss Mayze is in her golden chapter and is looking for a family who will love and cherish her through the remainder of her journey on earth.   Serena Marie – The Sweet Companion   Serena Marie is a gentle, playful 7-year-old who is also housetrained and wonderful with other dogs and cats. While she’s not overly active, she does need a committed adopter who will help her return to a healthy weight with proper diet and regular exercise.   She’ll thrive with routine, encouragement, and daily walks — and she’ll reward you with affection and loyalty.   Why Adopt a Senior?   Senior dogs are the hidden treasures of rescue. They’re past the puppy chaos, already housetrained, and deeply grateful for love and stability. What you see is what you get — steady companionship, calm energy, and hearts full of devotion.   Miss Mayze and Serena Marie must stay together. They’ve already lost their person; we won’t let them lose each other.   If you have a peaceful home, a soft couch, and a compassionate heart ready for two deserving senior ladies, these girls are waiting to give you their quiet, unconditional love.   If you'd like to meet Miss Mayze and Serena Marie, please apply here: https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 27, 2026, 12:08 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet LUCY LOU  5 months old • Heeler (cow dog) mix • 24 lbs of speckled sweetness   Lucy Lou is the perfect sidekick — smart as a whip, cuddly as can be, and just the right dash of goofy. With her adorable cow-dog spots and bright, happy spirit, she’s ready to trot straight into her forever home.     Her favorite things:  Zooming around with her foster siblings  Chewing toys like a good girl  Sleeping quietly all night in her crate  Doing great with potty training (with frequent breaks!) and learning to ring a bell + use the dog door  Snuggles… followed by more snuggles   As a true heeler mix, she’s got those fun little herding instincts — she loves to run, play, and stretch her legs. But when the zoomies are done? She’s happiest curled up right next to her person.  She’s also learning leash manners and lives for a good sniff-filled adventure. If you’re looking for a loyal shadow, a built-in best friend, and a professional cuddle bug all in one… Lucy Lou might just be your girl.     Apply to meet LUCY LOU: bit.ly//RRAdoptionApplication P.S. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hello future family! My name is Pixie Stix and I’m as sweet as my name! I’m a 1 year old 30 lb female heeler mix.  I’m on the timid side but I warm up quickly and then I’m obsessed with you! I love people and my whole body wiggles when I get excited! I love almost everything, I love getting pets, I love attention, I love other dogs and I love being happy! I love zoomies! If you have another friendly dog that will play with me I would love that! But I could be an only dog too as long as you give me enough attention and exercise. I can be a bit grumbly at first meetings, but that subsides quickly and will likely improve with self confidence. I also love toys! Toys are my literal favorite thing! I will pull all of them out of the toy basket and just continually move them around the room.  My foster mom says it’s adorable. I'm great at entertaining myself alone with my toys if necessary. I am still a young girl, so I’m training to learn what is and is not a toy to chew, but I’m making very quick improvement in that area! I’m also a non-nippy cattle dog! Because I’m still a bit nervous, kids 8 and older would be best for me. I’m a pro in a crate. I quietly sleep in there all night with no issues at all. I’m potty trained too. I do great with a consistent schedule. I'm a fantastic car passenger as well, I enjoy looking out the window quietly watching the world go by. I love walks and would even love to go on some running or hiking adventures with you! I just need some encouragement and training to keep on task. I can also settle in the house well and take good naps. Consistent exercise and mental stimulation will help me be my happiest self. I really just need someone who will help me build my confidence and be dedicated to training so I can be the best pup I can be! Overall I’m a very happy, silly girl who just wants humans to love!
