BONDED PAIR -- HONEY AND RACER MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER.Racer and his partner Honey are here to prove mutts make the best pups! This pair has a little Cattle Dog, Pointer, maybe a dash of Pit Bull and Dalmatian in them. They both found themselves relinquished to the Shelter after their owner sadly passed away. Racer is a tripod, missing a rear leg, but we think it just helps him run a little faster (less weight to carry). You wouldn`t know he`s missing a leg when you see him play and frolic with his friend Honey, he doesn`t even notice it himself! Honey and Racer share everything from a bed, toys, and affection. They are both very loving dogs and if you sit in with them, they will gladly cover you in kisses in exchange for belly rubs and ear scratches. They need an adopter willing to commit to them for the years that they have left. They don`t need a huge yard, but they will definitely need something that they can run around in. They need an adult only home with no other pets and a secure yard. They may do okay in an apartment as long as their adopter is sure to check they`re allowed to have two large dogs.Make you appointment to meet this pair with the biggest hearts. Must be adopted together!

Story
Rylee was found stray here in Burbank so we don`t know very much about her past. We originally thought Rylee would be very high energy because of her breed combination (German Shepherd and Cattle dog/Aussie Shepherd), however she has proved us wrong for the most part. She CAN BE high energy if she does not get out and get exercise and mental stimulation regularly HOWEVER is possibly the most mellow dog we have ever seen. In the yards she just wants to sit or lay near her handlers and get attention and a nap, though she is happy to go on a walk, hike or jog. We are unsure about cats but Rylee has done well in our playgroup. She does best with other mellow dogs who don`t want to constantly play. Rylee may do well in an apartment as long as her exercise needs are met. Rylee has done very well with kids of all ages and adores being loved on

Story
Handsome Waylon was rescued on his last day from a high kill public shelter. He's a super handsome and very sweet guy. Waylon is friendly with everyone he meets. He likes to play with other dogs and would do well in a home with a female dog. Waylon is smart like a typical Cattledog and will need a home with yard access. Even though he's good with children, we are looking to place him into an adult home. He LOVES to keep you company and does great on walks and hikes but also loves to snooze around the house. Waylon is the perfect size at about 45 lbs. Come and meet this wonderful boy! Please contact Ingrid 310 480 6030 pcdrapps@yahoo.com

Story
ASHER THE CATTLE DOG WANTS TO BE YOUR ONE AND ONLY. Asher is an incredibly smart and sweet two-year-old cattle dog. He loves to bury his head in your arms during the day and cuddle all night. He will chill next to you while you work or relax, but he's always ready to play fetch at the drop of a dime. Asher came to the East Valley Shelter as a stray after he was found with a neck wound that appeared to be from a dog fight. His wounds are all healed and he is looking for his FURever home with an experienced cattle dog owner. Cattle dogs are extremely loyal to their owners but can be wary of strangers. They also tend to display dominance towards other dogs and use herding behaviors towards children. This is why we think Asher would be best as an only animal in a house with no children, and a yard to "do his work." Asher needs generous exercise and thrives when he has jobs to do. He is a "working dog." after all. He can play intensely at times and is very passionate about his toys. While walking, he is very intrigued with other dogs but does not typically bark at them. He may whine a little and pull, but he doesn’t pull strongly. Asher finds simple joy in being by your side and spending time with you! --- If you are interested in adopting ASHER please fill out our adoption application by clicking this LINK. Adorable, compact Pitt/Cattle dog mix. 59 lb, 4 years old. He was a stray with another male and seems to REALLY like dogs. They bring him comfort and joy and he can bond easily. Arlo has been in a boarding facility for a couple of months. Per the boarding facility: Arlo's is an affectionate boy who is good with people and dogs. Staff has been interacting with Arlo and giving him lots of TLC. He is more relaxed around other dogs, so he has been doing great! ❤ He LOVES junior volunteers (13-14 years olds) and Arlo sits for treats and shakes his paw. He is timid, but sweet and loves getting love.

Story
Hi! My name is Sweeney, and I am just the goodest boy, can't you tell?!   I just turned a year old, but I've seen and been through a lot in my short life! My siblings and I found ourselves malnourished in a rural Texas animal control with Parvo and coccidia at about 6 weeks old. These diseases are known as puppy killers, but thank goodness Samson's Sanctuary scooped us all up and that we all had the will to survive and thrive! And that is exactly what we are all doing now, thriving!  My siblings and other friends all got adopted and are thriving in their furever homes and I'm still waiting. I got adopted when I was a tiny baby, and the family didnt take puppy responsibility seriously. They promised to do the training work a puppy requires no matter what, and that they would love me unconditionally but I guess they changed their mind. They returned me 3 weeks later. I don't understand what I did wrong! No one ever taught me how to be a good boy in a home, I just needed a fair chance and time to adjust. I have been in a few foster homes and even a board and training program since then, and everyone who cares for me loves me so much.  I have learned lots of good boy manners since I was returned and I'm ready to find my family!  I also healed from 2 emergency surgeries on my elbow when I was 6 month old, and even that couldn't bring me down! I'm already back to running and playing on the beach and everywhere else I'm allowed to! Now I wear elbow pads to keep me safe, and I think I look really cool!  I'm a 60 lb bundle of love. All I really want to do is shower you with kisses, snuggle, go on fun walks or hikes, and show you how incredibly smart I am. Puzzles, games, tricks...no problem! And I'm not trying to brag, but did I already mention I'm smart? Because I'm also potty trained and ask nicely to go outside too. AND I like to sing opera. Check me out on our IG & tiktok! @SamsonsSanctuary Even though I'm a playful boy, I also love to snuggle up with you on a comfy couch and watch a show or movie while I chew on my favorite toy. And I love to have playdates with my doggie friends! However before I made it to LA my brothers who were bigger than me used to beat me up for my food, and due to that trauma I don't like to share food and would prefer to be your only puppy love, unless you are experienced handling food guarding and feel confident you can keep me on the right track, I've worked so hard already!  I've really been waiting my WHOLE LIFE for you! If you want to be my forever family, I promise I'll be your very best pal. Pretty please apply to foster or adopt me, and you'll find out how awesome I really am!

Story
ADOPT DUTCH After spending 2 months behind bars at the Devore Shelter as a 7 month old pup, Dutch made his way to a foster home. This boy is the physical embodiment of “everything, everywhere all at once”! Are we going for a walk in the rain—yay! Are we playing chase with our canine foster sisters—yay! Are we going for a ride in the car-yay! Are we just gonna cuddle on the couch—well, you get the idea. There’s really not much that Dutch doesn’t enjoy, and his enthusiasm is contagious! He is now 12 months old, fully vetted and very healthy. He is crate trained and potty trained. Because of his working breed background and high intelligence, Dutch is a fast learner and very eager to please. We think he’d do best in an active home, where his zest for life will really shine. A canine companion would be great, he loves them all, but as long as he has doggy friends, it’s not a deal breaker.  So whaddya say, wanna go Dutch?"   ##1681505##
