Story
Hello everyone….. My name is Sammie. I am a 4 months old, born 3.1.0.24 Mini Australian Shepard/ Border collie mix girl. My mom and dad were around 35-40 lbs, so foster mom thinks that will be my size range. My foster mom says I'm an awesome dog. I'm really smart and am so close to being house trained. Sometimes, I still use puppy pads, but I'm learning fast. I do have a lot of puppy energy, so please keep in mind that I like chewing on things, including your hand, arm, face, ears, toes, etc. I would probably do best in a home without small kids or senior dogs. I love bringing sticks inside and chomping on them my foster mom takes them from me so I don't get sick. I love toys and playing tug with my foster brother and my foster mom. I'm leaning to fetch, but I haven't mastered that yet. My breed is known to be a working dog, so I'm working on learning some tricks to keep my mind active. I will also need an active family that will take me for walks to get out some energy. I look forward to meeting you and joining your family. Sammie is spayed, up to date on all vaccines, on heartworm preventative, de-wormed, and microchipped. Sammie’s adoption fee is $400.00. Story
Meet Magellan! He had been living on the street for a few months when someone asked if we could take him in. He’s sooooo happy and bouncy! He weighs 51 pounds and is about a year old, still a baby with sparkling white teeth! He is GREAT with the other dogs in the yard, but plays a little too rough for smaller dogs. He has a chill disposition and isn’t dominant with the other dogs. Magellan is super smart and did great during his brief time in a temporary home. He learned sit and down quickly, and he does well in his crate. He loves to cuddle. Magellan loves to play! He would be a great addition to any home!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.June 25, 2024, 4:58 am

Story
Willow is a special soul looking for a peaceful haven to call her own. Rescued from abandonment a few years ago, she found her way into our hearts and has since become an integral part of our family. However, as our family dynamics have evolved with young children, it has become evident that Willow craves a quieter environment where she can thrive. Perfectly house-trained and crate-trained. She cherishes her safe space. She adores outdoor adventures, car rides and exploring, though she prefers to skip the thunderstorms! Her favorite pastime? Chasing a ball! Despite her loving nature, Willow can be wary of strangers. With increased foot traffic and the energy of young children, she has understandably become more cautious and may show signs of discomfort around visitors. For her well-being and happiness, Willow would thrive in a calm, adult-only environment where she can relax and feel secure. we hope to find someone who will appreciate her for the loving and loyal companion she is.

Story
I am available through HSMO`s Foster-to-Adopt program! I am being treated for heartworm disease, and because the treatment can take a few months, I am able to continue my treatment in your home, rather than stay in the shelter during that time. Once my treatment is over, we can finalize the adoption, making me a permanent member of your family. HSMO will provide all the food, medication, and veterinary care during the foster period, and the staff at HSMO is happy to answer any questions you might have about heartworms. You will need to bring me to the HSMO shelter to see the veterinarian as needed, and to avoid complications from the treatment, I need to be kept as quiet as possible. That means no rough housing or playing hard with people or other pets. I will need to be on leash outside at all times and can only take short, 15-minute walks three to four times a day. However, the good news is that once my treatment is over, I can run and play and be silly again!
