Story
Devante has the most fantastic mane of hair. He looks a little like a lion and he certainly has the big cat’s bravery. But this sweet mini Aussie has a gentle heart. Devante was hit by a car dodging traffic and is recuperating well after surgery to mend a broken leg. Just about a year or two old, this wonderful pup is vision and hearing impaired. He can see and hear a bit and navigates the world well. He loves to go out and run around the backyard, but inside he’s quite happy to nap around his people. He has a great time playing with his canine foster sister and enjoys checking out the neighborhood on short walks. He’ll play with toys sometimes, but really is happiest just being near his foster family.  Devante is good in the car, is working on house training and leash walking, and does well in the crate when he’s alone. At night, he prefers sleeping in his dog bed around his people. He would love a home where people are around most of the time. He’d prefer a fenced-in yard for safe exploring. He’d love having another dog to play with, but he’d be fine being the only pup as long as he got loads of attention. This sweet and handsome lion is being fostered in the St. Louis area. ##1840777##

Story
Sammy is the most gorgeous Australian shepherd mix. Just 3 years old, he loves to run around outside, but then will happily curl up on the couch for a nap when he’s done. Sammy loves to explore in the yard, play with other dogs, and toss around toys. He’s athletic, energetic, and a fast learner so he’d no doubt have a blast with agility or dog sports. Sammy is completely house trained, loves his crate, and knows plenty of cues including sit, down, leave it, and wait. Sammy is well-loved, but has become more protective since the birth of the second baby in the home. He is very patient and gentle with the children, but is reactive and will bark at other dogs on walks. When he actually meets the other dogs, he likes them and will happily play with them. Sammy’s family is distraught about finding a new home, but know that he deserves someone who has the time to work on his training and give this sweet boy the love and attention he needs. Sammy needs a home with a fenced-in yard so he has somewhere safe to play and run. He’s being fostered in the St. Louis area. ##599267##

Story
Quest was rescued from an unfortunate adventure. This mini Australian shepherd had been dumped and was on the lam, running for safety. Fortunately, Quest was scooped up and is such a happy, playful pup. He’s about 1.5 years old and his favorite thing to do is to give kisses and cuddles. He absolutely adores toys, but his ideal pastime is lying at your feet while you work or read or do pretty much anything. He enjoys running and romping outside, but he’d prefer sticking with his person if given the chance. Quest is hearing impaired and is learning hand signals. So far, he knows “sit,” “come," "stay," "no," and "down” He is learning shake.and could be persuaded to learn a lot more with the right tasty treats. Quest is good in his crate, is working on leash training, and is already potty trained! Quest would like a home with a fenced-in yard where someone is around much of the day. Quest thinks people are so much cooler than other dogs, so he'd prefer being the only pup in the home. Quest is 100% Velcro and loves to snuggle at night with big contented sighs and will wake up his person with sweet puppy kisses. He is incredibly loving to his person but can be wary of new people. He is absolutely fantastic on a leash and loves going on walks. He's gorgeous, floofy, smart, and fun. Now Quest just needs his forever family. ##1605620##

Story
Sweet little Angel came to us from the Carolinas. She had been hit by a car and her young owner dropped her off at a rural shelter. Her injury was so severe at that point that her leg couldn’t be saved. But Angel truly doesn’t seem to care. She’s happily living life as a tripaw, thrilled to meet any human or dog. Angel is about 8 months old and is a great size at just 25 pounds. She loves to play with toys and with other dogs, no matter the age or the size. When it’s time to settle at night, she will sit right next to her people to watch TV and snuggle. She absolutely adores her humans and follows them all around the house. Angel does well on a leash and likes to go on short walks a couple of times a day. She gets excited when she hears kids in the neighborhood and always wants to go play with them. She really enjoys car rides and is a great co-pilot. Angel is doing a great job with potty training and is starting to figure out the crate. She loves having a fenced yard and would be so happy with a friendly dog sibling to play with. Angel is resilient and joyful. We think she would adapt to nearly any home as long as she was showered with love and attention. Her foster mom says she is a sweet soul. “I think anyone who is lucky enough to have her will absolutely love her.”  ##1864441##

Story
The tango is a dance that focuses on flair, love, and playful movement. We think our little Tango puppy was well-named. This Aussie mix is sweet, loving, and snuggly. But he’s also very playful and full of personality and can even be independent at times. He is a very busy, very nosy boy who always likes to know what’s going on. And he looks great while he’s doing it! Tango has so many favorite activities. He loves to explore, play tug of war, and sit on his person’s lap. He adores other dogs and wants to run and wrestle with them. Tango is hearing and vision impaired, but it doesn't stop him from dancing through life. He is a smart boy and has already learned “sit” and is working on “come” and “stay.” He’s also doing great with house training and crate training. His ideal home will have a fenced-in yard and another dog buddy. And perhaps a dance floor. ##1475452##

Story
Want to play ball, Frisbee, or tug? Charlee’s more than up for the job. Lovely Charlee is playful and absolutely adores her people. She lives to catch a ball and tackle a good game of tug and is always busy having fun. This Australian shepherd mix is hearing impaired and knows hand signals for sit, come, and release and is so smart, she’ll quickly learn more. She’s house trained and crate training and does pretty well on a leash. Charlee is about 3 years old, which is a fantastic age. She’s through all the puppy shenanigans and is a great companion. Charlee’s main requirement is that you don’t share your affection with other dogs. She wants to be the canine center of her person’s universe, so no other dogs please. Charlee would prefer a home with a fenced-in yard and would be giddy if her family was around for much of the day. This gorgeous, sweet girl has so much affection to give; she’s just waiting for the perfect forever match. ##1370753##
