I have had him for 2 years but unfortunately I can't keep him because he doesn't get along with one of my other two rescues (a male dog). Monty is a male, two-year-old Australian Shepherd. He is approximately 50 lbs., neutered and up to date on all his shots. He is a big love bug, always giving kisses and wagging his tail. A little reserved and quiet - he did not do well in the shelter. After a few days in his new foster home, he is starting to get some pep in his step. Monty is very intelligent and will be easily trained. He would thrive in a home with a large, fenced yard and another welcoming dog. Unfortunately, Monty is not a fan of cats. Due to his demeanor, he may also do better in a home with older children. He is fantastic on a leash with a good harness, as Aussies love to run. Monty is mesmerized by squirrels and becomes very excited when he spots one. Due to his long, beautiful coat, he will need regular grooming.
