Meet Indie, a 4-year-old aussie mix with the cutest ears and smile. Indie enjoys playing with toys and getting yummy treats. She also loves fetch! Indie loves to go on walks with the volunteers and enjoys running in the yard, as well. When we sit down with she just wants to climb into our lap and give kisses while she gets pets!In September of 2023, Indie had surgery to correct an issue with a luxating patella and is fully healed and doing great! She's back to running around and playing like before. Indie is a herding breed, so as always, we strongly encourage anyone interested in her to research these types of dogs. Indie hasn't shown herself to be a big fan of other dogs during her time with us, so she will need to be an only pet! She promises to provide lots of love and laughter to her forever family!Indie's adoption fee has been fully sponsored by a generous donor!

Story

This handsome fellow and his siblings came in to rescue last winter after they were dumped on a back country road. Their mother was found deceased, so we took the puppies in to try to save them. They were very sick initially but are very healthy now. Big boy is a gentle boy but does love to run and play with other dogs. Big boy was the largest of the puppies, but his siblings have caught up to him. He has done amazing with his house and crate training. He is so deserving of a wonderful home to call his own. He is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Please let me know if you have any questions. Meet Kai! Kai is a 5-year-old, male, Australian Shepherd with a heart as big as his beautiful smile. He’s the full package --- looks, brains and charisma. Kai came to rescue after his senior owners made the incredibly difficult decision to rehome him due to health and age challenges. It’s clear he was raised with love—Kai is well-mannered, affectionate, and loves being around people. He is neutered, fully vetted, vaccinated, and microchipped. Kai is house- trained, crate-trained, great on walks and car rides, and knows commands like sit, down, stay, and leave it. Like a true Aussie, Kai loves to play fetch with a ball or frisbee, but his favorite thing is simply resting his head in your lap and soaking up all the pets. Kai does well with dogs, cats, adults, and kids and would thrive with an active person or family who can give him lots of exercise as well as love and attention. A fully fenced yard is preferred so he can run and play. Kai is hoping to find a new forever family—maybe even his “soul dog” person. Could that be you? Local adoptions only. We do not adopt out of the state of Illinois. Kai is being fostered in a private home. Appointments to meet him will be set up for approved adopters only. His adoption fee is $350 which includes all age appropriate vaccines. He is neutered and microchipped. He has also been kept on both flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.
