Hello world! I’m Indigo! I am a beautiful 2-year-old girl from Texas, and my foster family says I have the most soulful eyes—it's why they gave me my name! I’m having so much fun in my foster home. I love playing with the resident dogs and would be thrilled to have a canine friend of my own in my forever home. I’m a smart and inquisitive girl who enjoys learning new things, playing with my toys and stuffies, and chewing on bones. My absolute favorite activity is running and fetching balls in the yard! I’m fully potty trained and have never chewed on anything I shouldn’t. I’m also very respectful of the other dogs’ space—my foster mom says I’m the perfect houseguest. When I’m not playing, I’m happy to relax, cuddle, or sit right by your side, always ready for the next adventure. I’m looking for a loving family who can help continue building my confidence, teach me new things, and show me that life doesn’t need to be scary. I’m ready to live my best life and share my love with a special family. If you’re looking for a new best friend, I’d love to meet you! Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). . It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Applications will not be reviewed unless fully completed. An application does not commit you to adopting and does not guarantee adoption but does allow us to begin the review process. Please email adopt@safehavendogsIL.org for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed. Max is a 10 month Aussie mix. The dog is good with most dogs, but he doesn't like to share his stuff with other dogs. He is great with people and has no resource guarding with people. All of our dogs and puppies go home spayed or neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested (for dogs 7 months and older). They are also up to date on core vaccines, as well as heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Each adoption includes a 3.5-pound bag of dog or puppy food and a free vet exam at one of our participating veterinary partners.

Mario (aka Snickers) is ready for his forever home! This boy is the sweetest! In addition to being so handsome, He LOVES to snuggle and give affection. He gets along with all of the people that he meets. He adores his dog friends and is more submissive so will let someone else be in charge. He's a good boy with some basic training. He has already mastered the doggie door at his foster home and catches on to new routines and tricks quickly. Smart and handsome! We also found out that his original name was Snickers so he answers to Snickers and Mario. He's the dog with many names! He weighs 42 lbs and is about 1.5 years old. Let's find him a home for the holidays!

This handsome fellow and his siblings came in to rescue last winter after they were dumped on a back country road. Their mother was found deceased, so we took the puppies in to try to save them. They were very sick initially but are very healthy now. Big boy is a gentle boy but does love to run and play with other dogs. Big boy was the largest of the puppies, but his siblings have caught up to him. He has done amazing with his house and crate training. He is so deserving of a wonderful home to call his own. He is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Please let me know if you have any questions.
