Introducing Lucy, a.k.a Lucylu, Lulu and Loo's she is a super chill Australian Shepherd with one blue and one brown eye. She weighs approx 50 lbs. Shes 5 years old, absolutely loves kids, and her person. But she does not get along with other dogs. She MUST be the only dog in the house. I cannot stress that enough. She does not get along with my other dog and the other dog has been here 1st.Lucy will do best with an older adult who loves to cuddle. She would rather cuddle all day than play. She is very low energy for an aussie. She loves car rides, and walks. But thats about all the excercise she wants. She would prefer to stay at home than venture somewhere new. Her adopter must have a fenced yard.

Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas. We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI. Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue.
