He flops right over the second you start petting him. He loves sitting in your lap, giving smooches, and resting his paws on you just to stay close. :) Bentley is house trained and sleeps like a champ through the night in his crate. He’s at his best with regular exercise, mental stimulation, and time together. He does great with other dogs. My adoption includes some training sessions for my new family to set me up for success! Bentley is a curious boy and eager to please. When he’s excited for attention, he may use his mouth to communicate. When something feels new or uncomfortable, he may use nipping to say, “I’m not sure about this.” He’s already making great progress and gaining confidence every day, but he’ll need continued training and positive reinforcement to build good habits. Hi, my name is Yosemite and I am from Georgia! From his foster: Yosemite is such a funny, playful independent little guy! He is very social with the other resident dogs and cats, however his loves to play hide the toys and scatter them everywhere all by himself! Hi is the typical food crazed puppy, but that works well with training He is so sweet and tender and loves to snuggle on the couch with his buddies. He also rarely barks and is the playful chewer/biter from teething unlike some of the more aggressive pups I've had. HE IS VERY LOYAL AND LOOKING FOR APPROVAL ALWAYS. Hence, would do great as a single animal home or would do fabulous in any home, fitting right in immediately! Love him!

From Sneaker's Foster mom: I have a never-ending list of wonderful things to say about Miss Sneakers! First and foremost, she is incredibly sweet and responds wonderfully to training. She’s not only treat-motivated, but also thrives on praise—which is so easy to give, because she’s truly a good girl. She’s completely potty trained and adapts well to both a house or apartment lifestyle. Sneakers already knows several commands: sit, lay down, off, wait, and—of course—“good girl.” She’s gentle with her toys and prefers stuffed animals over puzzle toys. Her favorite snacks are biscuits, bully sticks, and meat treats—though she’s not a fan of peanut butter. She gets plenty of exercise with 2–3 walks a day (plus some running!) to help burn off energy. Behavior & Socialization: Sneakers is considered reactive, meaning she gets nervous around new people and may bark to try and keep them away. But in the short time I’ve had her, she’s already shown amazing progress with consistent, positive exposure—especially in outdoor spaces like parks, where she can take things at her own pace. Meet Poncho!! Intelligent, energetic and sweet, Poncho is a 2.5 yr old Border Collie mix. He has a young, happy heart and lights up like a kid on Christmas morning while playing with his ball or rope tug toy. He is loyal to his core, loving his family with everything he has. In fact, his theme song is “I’ll Stand By You” by the Pretenders. Poncho was a little too well loved in his prior home and is making progress toward achieving a healthy weight. His goal is around 50# from a current 56#. Luckily, he is excited to take his people for walks and show them around town. He pulls on leash for the first few minutes, then settles in nicely. It’s the perfect time of year to enjoy strolls before or after work (or both) with this handsome lad. Like many highly intelligent dogs, Poncho wants to use his big brain in addition to getting daily exercise. He enjoys puzzle toys and working on basic obedience skills. He can’t wait to take classes and be the star pupil! His foster family is helping him learn how to relax by using a mat for downtime where he enjoys chewing on bones or working on a Kong. Hi, I’m Apollo! I’m a 10 month old, 37# Border Collie mix, and I’m looking for my forever family. People say I’m adventurous, curious, smart, and friendly, and that sums me up pretty well. My favorite pastimes are collecting toys, carrying them around the house or settling down with a bully stick when I'm ready to relax. I’ve got plenty of energy, especially outside - I love to run, explore, and play, and I’m really fast! Inside, I settle down... but if you want a play break, just let me know! I’d be happiest with an active and patient family who enjoys keeping me busy and teaching me new things. A fenced yard would be heavenly, or a family dedicated to giving me safe outdoor time would work too. Kids under 10 that have had dogs before would be fun for me. While I’d enjoy having a canine sibling, I can also entertain myself. I’ve started showing some herding instincts with other dogs, so a family familiar with herding breeds is probably best. I haven’t met cats yet, but with proper introductions and training, I bet we would be friends. I’m proud to say I’m doing great with housetraining and have learned to whine at the door when it’s time to go out! I relax in my crate at night and when my foster mom has to focus for work. Sometimes I complain just a little, but it doesn’t last long. I enjoy being on a long line and am working on regular leash walking skills. My foster mom is helping me learn basic commands like sit, stay, and come (that’s my favorite one – I get to run AND get cookies at the end!). My master plan is to take my family to obedience classes so we get dedicated time together and I get to see new things, people, and other dogs. Hi there! My name is Pip, but you can call me Pippi Dogstocking or the Pipster, both nicknames that fit my bright, bouncy personality. I’m a 3-year-old. 34# Border Collie. My first 3 years were not ideal, but believe you me, with my new family, I will live the BEST life moving forward. I’m best described as resilient, happy, playful, affectionate, energetic, and alert. My soft, cute exterior hides a busy brain – I like to keep myself occupied. My theme song is “Jump” by Van Halen, because that’s how I show my excitement about… well, everything. My favorite things? Attention tops the list, followed closely by food, toys, and games like tug and fetch. I adore my people and want to be right in the middle of whatever is happening in my home. Because of that enthusiasm, I’m still learning about personal space and tend to jump or climb into laps uninvited. Training classes will be right up my alley, though. I’m eager to please, smart, and will absolutely shine with structure and guidance. My energy level is not for the faint of heart; I’m not off the charts but need something to do with my brain and body every day.
