Meet Moana. She is a 4 year old purebred Australian Shepherd. Moana weighs 43 lbs. She came from a household who had other dogs and is now in a foster with dogs and does great. She is also very good with respectful children. Moana is spayed and up to date on vaccines. She just needs a 4dx test which is scheduled for 1/9. UPDATE: Her test was negative for everything. We do want an adopter to have a fenced yard and maybe some breed knowledge. She was an also housebroken. Her adoption fee is $250. If interested in Moana, please email hartmanshounds@gmail.com. Story
Meet Kraut – The Pocket Rocket 🚀🐾 Looking for a dog with big energy in a compact package? That’s me—Kraut! I’m a cattle dog in travel-sized form, bursting with brains, drive, and a whole lot of personality. I’m not your average couch-companion (unless you’ve got a tennis ball in hand). My hobbies include outrunning expectations, herding anything that moves, and judging your slow reflexes. I thrive when I’ve got a job to do—whether that’s agility, fly ball, farm work, or just keeping you on your toes. Don’t let my size fool you. I’m fast, focused, and full of fire. My dream family is active, adventurous, and ready to keep up with my quick mind and quicker paws. Give me a task, and I’ll give you 110%—plus a lifetime of loyalty and laughs. If you’re ready for a spirited teammate, a pocket-sized athlete, and the best adventure buddy you’ll ever have, then what are we waiting for? Let’s go! 🐶💨

Story
Meet Azalia! 🐾 Azalia is an adult Australian Shepherd mix with truly stunning eyes that are impossible to forget. Her beautiful gaze perfectly matches her intelligent and attentive nature. With the classic smarts and energy often seen in Aussie mixes, Azalia enjoys staying engaged and being part of the action. She’s alert, responsive, and thrives when she has interaction and activity in her day. Whether it’s exploring the outdoors or spending quality time with her people, Azalia is happiest when she feels connected. This striking girl is ready to find a home that will appreciate both her beauty and her bright, loyal spirit. The shelter is open Tuesday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A meet-and-greet is required for all shelter dogs if you already have a dog. Thank you for considering the adoption of a shelter animal in need!

Story
Meet Reggie. Reggie is a 5-year-young male Australian Shepherd weighing 93 pounds of fluffy, gentle goodness. This sweet boy somehow found himself without anyone to claim him, but we know his perfect family is out there just waiting to meet him.Shelter life can be a little overwhelming, so Reggie is shy in his kennel — but don’t let that fool you. He’s very friendly, just a sensitive soul taking it all in. Once you get him outside, he truly enjoys his walks, and you might even catch a little tail wag. Reggie keeps his kennel clean and he is not a barker. Unlike many Aussies, Reggie has a low energy level. He’s not looking to run a marathon — he’d much prefer leisurely strolls and then relaxing by your side. He does have a little junk in the trunk at the moment, but with regular walks and some consistency, he’ll have that beach body ready in time for summer. We are looking for a home environment for Reggie. No apartments for him. Because he was found as a stray, we don’t have much history on him. Compatibility with children, cats, and other dogs is unknown. In the shelter environment, Reggie seems unfazed by the other dogs. As always, a meet and greet with your resident canine is required.Reggie is available through our foster-to-adopt program, which includes vaccinations, microchipping, and heartworm testing. You get to foster him in your home while he finishes his vetting at the shelter vet. He is already neutered and ready to start his next chapter. If you’re ready to meet this sweet, shy boy and give him the loving home he’s been waiting for, email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and submit an online adoption application for Reggie. His adoption fee is $160.Help this gentle soul finally find the safe, cozy home he deserves.
