Basil plays very well with the two other dogs she lives with, but is occasionally aggressive with the smaller one. She is also very anxious and fearful around new dogs and this presents as reactivity that can be aggressive. She does some resource-guarding with other animals but not people. Cat Friendly: No Kid Friendly: Yes, any age Apartment Friendly: Unknown Physical Fence Requirement: Physical fence required, any height Crate Trained: Yes Potty Trained: Yes Likes: Basil loves playing frisbee, running off-leash in contained areas away from other dogs, peanut butter, Trader Joe's maple/pumpkin/bacon "Stuffies" that come out every fall, sleeping on the couch or in bed, getting morning and evening snuggles (she's very affectionate), and swimming. She also loves belly and ear rubs and being outside in the sun and 'hunting' for squirrels/rabbits as much as possible. Dislikes: She gets car sick (so usually don't feed her before long car rides) and has some minor separation anxiety when left alone. She also has a natural prey drive and is not a big fan of squirrels and bunnies. Ideal Home/Adopter: Basil would do so well as the only dog in a home with more than one person; she would thrive having other people and kids to play with and who would throw the frisbee for her. She is also used to having someone home most of the time and love the idea of her having an adult who works from home or is a stay-at-home parent.
