Story
Hi, I’m Samson! I’m about 10 months old and I’m a cattle dog/aussie mix. I’m about 40 pounds and already neutered. I’m both potty and crate trained. I haven’t had the most fortunate start to my life. I’ve been adopted and returned twice and have been in my foster home since September. I really like it here but I’m starting to wonder if my forever family is ever going to find me. I need a special adoptive family who can be really patient with me. I’m very wary of strangers but men are especially scary to me. I take a lot of time to warm up so I need a family that’s willing to give me the time and energy that will help me be successful. I love other dogs and must have at least one other confident, playful dog in my forever home. Once I get comfortable, I’m a typical puppy that loves to play and cuddle. I just need someone to give me a chance! ##2178646##

Story
Saint is a 2 year old Labrador retriever/ Australian Shepherd mix who found himself in a Louisiana shelter after being seized from a cruelty case in November 2023. Set to be euthanized, ASF rescued him in the final hour. While Saint does not have the typical looks of an Aussie, he certainly shares the typical Aussie energy, herding instincts, and affectionate disposition. Also, the signature chilling blue eyes. Unfortunately, Saint also had heart worm disease. After several months of medical care and strict crate rest Saint is ready to find his forever home! Saint’s current foster family, located in Pittsburgh, Pa, adores him. He is super cuddly and loves to play with his foster brother. Saint is house trained, crate trained, and must be in a cat free home. Saint can’t wait to meet you! If Saint sounds perfect for you, please fill out the application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.

Story
Sheriff is a 4.5 month old beautiful, loving, and curious Black-Tri standard male Aussie. Sheriff and his 3 brothers were born on a farm as an accidental litter, so before they came into foster homes, they didn't know much about living indoors. In the short few weeks that he's been living with his foster families, Sheriff is learning to be a wonderful house puppy! Sheriff loves to love and be loved: running to you and wagging his tail if you call his name, greeting you after his nap, or wanting to sit on your lap and cuddle when you’re nearby. While he is sleeping through the night, Sheriff is having some intermittent anxiety about sleeping in his crate. He prefers to not spend the night in his crate and instead on the floor nearby the bed. He's still a bit spooked by going up and down stairs, but in the meantime, he doesn't mind getting a lift from his foster human when he needs it. Indoor stairs aside, he’s a very confident puppy willing to try new things. Sheriff is easygoing and social – excited to interact with other dogs, has met children and done very well with them, but like your typical Aussie, keeps a close eye on his humans and prefers to be close by to them. And like any puppy, would benefit from continued positive reinforcement training and overall rules and structure in his new home. Sheriff would thrive in a home with humans that are looking for a devoted Aussie companion and will put in the work to make him the best dog he can be. He would welcome a home with other dogs (although he'd also do fine solo), would be fine with dog-savvy kids who want to be involved in his training, and will need further socialization to build his confidence and make him a well-rounded doggie citizen. If Sheriff seems like he would be the perfect fit for your home, apply to meet him soon! Sheriff is fostered in Pittsburgh, PA. Here is the application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family and $50 REFUNDABLE neuter deposit that will be refunded upon proof of procedure.

Story
This is Sampson! He is a Mini Aussie, and he’s 2.5 years old. He’s a little ball of energy, and he loves to run around and play with other dogs. During the summer, he enjoys playing in water and small pools. He’s also a very sweet boy who likes to cuddle, and he’s a quick learner. He does get a little nervous on car rides and can get motion sick, and he can be very talkative at times, especially at the vet. He hasn’t been around cats or kids very much, but he’s very sweet and should adjust very well to being around children. He’s looking for a loving home who can give him lots of exercise and attention.

Story
Nebula, a truly beautiful dog. While her past holds some hardship – she was found living on the streets with her seven puppies – her spirit shines through. Nebula is a sweet and beautiful girl, possessing a gentle nature that will blossom with the right amount of patience and understanding. Nebula's intelligence is evident in her quick grasp of commands. She's already house-trained and crate-trained, demonstrating a willingness to learn and adapt. She enjoys walks immensely, exhibiting a calm and easy-going temperament. What Nebula truly desires is a loving home where she can finally feel safe and secure. While her street life has made her initially cautious around new people, once she builds trust, her playful puppy-like energy resurfaces. It's a beautiful transformation to witness. We believe Nebula would thrive in a quiet and patient home, ideally with someone experienced in working with dogs who have experienced trauma. With the right care, she'll become the most loyal and loving companion imaginable. If you're interested in learning more about Nebula and potentially offering her a loving forever home, please don't hesitate to contact us. $200 In State Adoption Fee (in Texas) $400 Out of State Fee (includes Transportation to your area) $50 Temporary fuel surcharge.

Story
Monty is a great name for a great dog like me ;) I have the Monty Python kind of humor... goofy and sweet! But, don't mess with my crate! That really is my only "pet: peeve!! I was found on the streets 2 years ago and was adopted as a pup... however, I became the boss in the house and didn't like anyone entering the house that I didn't know :( SO..... Back to the rescue, because they won't give up on me!! So here I am and I have really adjusted to the environment and new people meeting me and treats and lots of love. AND the crew here basically has determined that I need a family/adopters that will be in charge of the house. Someone I can trust to protect me so I don't have to!! I am vocal in my crate, so my crate needs to be away from the common areas so I can relax and not meet everyone that stops by. Once I settle into my new home I will follow your lead! I am a gorgeous boy, with caramel and milk chocolate highlights in my soft fur. I want to please my family and go on all kinds of adventures! I am awesome out and about, meeting new people and new friends :D I hope you will look into my eyes, the windows to my soul, and see the HOPE I have to find my own home again! The rescue is great because I got a second chance, but I REALLY want a home!! Local adoption only $200 (in TX)
