Story
I have a Miniature Australian Shepherd that needs a loving playful home; preferably with active kids. Nola was born on July 11, 2024 and is a year and a half years old. She is the sweetest, most loving dog ever; and absolutely adores kids, other larger (cat or bigger, she is a herding dog and does not do well with bunnies, guinea pigs ect...she will hurt them playing) animals, and anyone who will give her attention. She is a major velcro dog. She does bark around strangers but has never bitten anyone, once introduced she is fine. She has all her shots, and her tail is docked. She is purebred but I lost her papers when I moved (why only asking 300) is about 23-25lbs so small to medium and fully grown but her fur will continue to grow until she is 3 years old. She is a red merle but looks black and white until she gets in the sun. Honestly one of the sweetest dogs I have ever owned and am so sad to part with her but my new home I am moving to will not allow her. Full of energy.

Story
Hello this is Rocky and Bud, we found their mother abandoned in the middle of nowhere and took her in not knowing she was pregnant. She is a an Australian shepherd. We can no longer afford our home and can't take all the dogs with us to an apartment. We are hoping someone could take both Rocky and his brother Bud but we understand if that isn't possible. The dogs do not show any behavioral issues. Great with other dogs and kids, we have not introduced them to cats but they dont show any aggression issues, so we dont think that would be a problem. They're sweet little babies. We are sad we have to part ways but we have no other option. We'd love to find them a loving home. Thank you.

Story
Hi! I wanted to share a little about Zeus so you can get to know the sweet dog you’re considering welcoming into your family. Zeus is a 6-year-old neutered male. He’s a mixed breed with Australian Shepherd, Labrador, Dalmatian, and Pit Bull. He is medium-to-large in size with a white coat covered in black spots and warm brown eyes. Zeus is deaf, but he is very loving and attentive. Deaf dogs often form strong bonds because they rely on watching their people. Zeus is very cuddly and happiest relaxing next to someone he loves. He can be protective of his home and family but has never bitten anyone. He is an indoor dog and does have some separation anxiety, so he does best in a home where someone is around often. Overall, Zeus is a gentle, loyal boy who just wants love, safety, and a family to cuddle with.

Story
Hello! Meet Cookie. She was born on February 1, 2026 along with her sister. They were a surprise to everyone, but welcomed immediately. She loves to play with her sister and gives the best puppy kisses. Her mother took excellent care of both of them and they are eating solid puppy kibble now and she is ready to meet her forever family! However, i do want to mention that she has what appears to be a small umbilical hernia(small jelly-like bump where umbilical cord fell out). It does not bother her and may even close on its own. They are often surgically fixed when they get spayed if it has not already closed on it own! She would love a warm home filled with lots of hugs and kisses. There is no re-homing fee.

Story
Meet Jingle! 🐾 Jingle is a sweet young (appx 2 years old) Collie mix girl with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. She’s spayed, up-to-date on her vet care, and currently living in a foster home with 5 other playful pups, two cats, and a young child. Jingle gets along well with other dogs, but she’d also be happy as the only pup in a quieter home or with a small, calm pack—large or loud environments can be a bit much for her. A peaceful home where someone is around most of the day would be her dream! She thrives with calm, patient people who understand that trust takes time, especially with men, but once you earn her love, she’s incredibly loyal and affectionate. She’s curious about cats—she might give chase, but it’s all in play, not aggression. Jingle loves being home with her people most of all, and she's happiest when she's included in the daily rhythm of life. This clever girl is crate trained, doing great with her leash manners, and she loves agility activities in the backyard! With a little encouragement, she could shine in agility sports. She’s also a top-notch package alert system—she takes her job as home protector seriously (but not aggressively!). A few quirks to know about Jingle: • She can get car sick if riding in a crate, but does fine buckled into a seat. • She’s an occasional escape artist—a fully fenced yard is a must, and a GPS tracker on her collar would be a smart addition. • Her recall needs work, so leash walks and secure outdoor time are key. • She recently started anxiety medication, and it's helped her tremendously. A calm home may alleviate the need for medication. If you’re looking for a loyal, smart, and loving companion who just needs a little patience and a calm environment to thrive, Jingle might be your perfect match. 🐶💕 📍Apply to adopt Jingle: www.houstoncollierescue.org
