Story
Meet Jingle! 🐾 Jingle is a sweet young (appx 2 years old) Collie mix girl with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. She’s spayed, up-to-date on her vet care, and currently living in a foster home with 5 other playful pups, two cats, and a young child. Jingle gets along well with other dogs, but she’d also be happy as the only pup in a quieter home or with a small, calm pack—large or loud environments can be a bit much for her. A peaceful home where someone is around most of the day would be her dream! She thrives with calm, patient people who understand that trust takes time, especially with men, but once you earn her love, she’s incredibly loyal and affectionate. She’s curious about cats—she might give chase, but it’s all in play, not aggression. Jingle loves being home with her people most of all, and she's happiest when she's included in the daily rhythm of life. This clever girl is crate trained, doing great with her leash manners, and she loves agility activities in the backyard! With a little encouragement, she could shine in agility sports. She’s also a top-notch package alert system—she takes her job as home protector seriously (but not aggressively!). A few quirks to know about Jingle: • She can get car sick if riding in a crate, but does fine buckled into a seat. • She’s an occasional escape artist—a fully fenced yard is a must, and a GPS tracker on her collar would be a smart addition. • Her recall needs work, so leash walks and secure outdoor time are key. • She recently started anxiety medication, and it's helped her tremendously. A calm home may alleviate the need for medication. If you’re looking for a loyal, smart, and loving companion who just needs a little patience and a calm environment to thrive, Jingle might be your perfect match. 🐶💕 📍Apply to adopt Jingle: www.houstoncollierescue.org

Yes Folks HCR has a pure bred mini Aussie in the house. Meet Buster 36 lbs, 13 months. We’ve had him fully vetted and neutered. He’s been raised around dogs and is great with kids. He loves to be held and snuggled. He is your typical youngster that needs a high energy family ready to work on training and getting him through his puppy stage. Buster must have a secure fenced yard for running, exercise and potty. Adopter should be prepared to continue his crate training when unsupervised and home alone. He is house training and still learning right from wrong. Apply at HoustonCollieRescue.org

Story
Boba is our 2-year-old mini Aussiedoodle, and she’s such a sweet, smart, happy girl. We got her when she was 4 months old, her mom’s a blue merle mini Aussie, and her dad’s a white mini Poodle. She loves playing fetch, learning tricks, going on walks, and hanging out outside while we’re working in the yard. She’s friendly with other animals, her best friend is our 13-year-old cat, loves any chance to play with our 9-year-old daughter. She’s patient, gentle, and just wants to be part of the action. Even though she can get excited, she's not a hyper dog and is perfectly happy to sit around all day. She’s calm and well-behaved, only barks when someone’s at the door, waits quietly when we’re away. She’s potty trained, healthy, up to date on shots, and not spayed. Her thick coat needs regular brushing or grooming or it can dread easily. Since we just had a baby, we want to see if anyone out there appreciates everything she brings and give her a life filled with attention, joy, and care.

Story
Meet Emmett, a lively adult dog who loves everyone. His playful nature makes him a joy to be around. Emmett is a social butterfly, always ready to make new friends, be it dogs, cats, or children. He thrives on companionship and enjoys wrestling with other dogs. He is also respectful and understands to leave them alone if they do not want to play. His social energy is contagious, and he`ll have you laughing with his antics. He weighs 54 pounds and likes running, tugging, toys, water, walks, chase, and wrestling. He enjoys seeking out a game of fetch or a warm lap for a cuddle. He`s protective and obedient, a loyal companion who`ll always be by your side because he is not fond of being alone or being in a crate. Due to his love for companionship he would enjoy living in a home with another dog and with people who are home a lot. He knows the sit, no, and off commands. He walks well on a leash unless there is a good smell to distract him. Emmett is housebroken when let out often. He can make it through the night with free roam of the house without any accidents. If he runs away while off leash, he`ll come back if you call him. Emmett`s friendly demeanor and love for play make him the perfect addition to any family. He was given up because his family moved and couldn`t take him along. Adopt Emmett and bring home a friend who`ll fill your life with joy, laughter, and unconditional love. Emmett is with his foster family. For questions or to meet with him please contact Wendy at wpmarkgraf@gmail.com. (wm, tw 5/23/2025)

Story
Oh my goodness! This guy has turned out to be such a cutie. Arlo is a total character who will keep you laughing. Arlo was tied up behind an H&#226&#128&#145E&#226&#128&#145B for over 12 hours. Nobody knows how or why but thank goodness a Good Samaritan saw him and took him home. Arlo is an Australian shepherd mix about 3-4 years old. He weighs right around 40 pounds. He has the absolute cutest prance, a HUGE SMILE, and absolutely loves his “puppy massage” Arlo is up to date on vaccines and is neutered. Sadly he is heartworm positive but Scout’s Honor Rescue will cover the cost of his slow kill treatment. If interested in adopting or fostering Arlo please fill out the appropriate application and we will be in touch right away. January 27, 2025, 7:33 pm
