Story
Meet Jingle! 🐾 Jingle is a sweet young (appx 2 years old) Collie mix girl with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. She’s spayed, up-to-date on her vet care, and currently living in a foster home with 5 other playful pups, two cats, and a young child. Jingle gets along well with other dogs, but she’d also be happy as the only pup in a quieter home or with a small, calm pack—large or loud environments can be a bit much for her. A peaceful home where someone is around most of the day would be her dream! She thrives with calm, patient people who understand that trust takes time, especially with men, but once you earn her love, she’s incredibly loyal and affectionate. She’s curious about cats—she might give chase, but it’s all in play, not aggression. Jingle loves being home with her people most of all, and she's happiest when she's included in the daily rhythm of life. This clever girl is crate trained, doing great with her leash manners, and she loves agility activities in the backyard! With a little encouragement, she could shine in agility sports. She’s also a top-notch package alert system—she takes her job as home protector seriously (but not aggressively!). A few quirks to know about Jingle: • She can get car sick if riding in a crate, but does fine buckled into a seat. • She’s an occasional escape artist—a fully fenced yard is a must, and a GPS tracker on her collar would be a smart addition. • Her recall needs work, so leash walks and secure outdoor time are key. • She recently started anxiety medication, and it's helped her tremendously. A calm home may alleviate the need for medication. If you’re looking for a loyal, smart, and loving companion who just needs a little patience and a calm environment to thrive, Jingle might be your perfect match. 🐶💕 📍Apply to adopt Jingle: www.houstoncollierescue.org

Story
Noel is an extra-sweet rescue looking for his forever home. He was found abandoned in a park right before Christmas. He has since been fostered, fully house trained, and even graduated from a basic obedience school with flying colors. He is shy at first who warms up with treats and cuddles. He is an exceptionally loyal friend who loves to be with his humans and is the cuddliest dog ever with his super soft mink-like shiny fur. Noel is a calm, chill guy, and a friend to all. His joys in life are playing with other dogs and water play with sprinklers and hoses. We have a busy home with small kids and lots of rescue dogs coming in and out, and he has a blast with everyone. He weighs about 35-38lbs, estimated 2-3 yrs old, very well behaved, in perfect health and ready for his forever home!

Story
Meet Rumi, a young, gentle soul with a heart full of love. Despite her shyness, she`s friendly and adores cuddles. Rumi weighs 30 pounds and is playful, energetic, and curious about the world around her. She likes fetch, running, toys, walks, and water but not car rides. She knows the sit command but lived outside so is not experienced with house training yet. She`s leash trained and won`t run away while off leash. She cherishes the warmth of a lap to snuggle on. Rumi can be protective and is initially wary around men, yet her lovable nature shines as she gets to know you. She`s the perfect companion for someone who appreciates a sweet, excitable friend. She`s a social butterfly who may play a bit rough with other dogs but shows remarkable gentleness around children. She is not fond of being by herself. Adopt Rumi and discover the joy of unconditional love. (tw 11/20/2025)

Story
Meet Marvin, a young, energetic shelter dog with a heart full of joy. He`s easygoing, friendly, submissive, and playful, especially around other dogs, though he tends to shy away from children. Marvin weighs 23 pounds and is somewhat leash trained, making walks a breeze. We don`t know if he is house trained or not. Despite his outgoing nature, he`s a bit insecure and submissive, which just adds to his charm. He`s the perfect companion for someone who enjoys a laid-back lifestyle and can provide the gentle confidence he needs. He loves fluffy beds, sunbathing, and toys. Adopt Marvin and discover the boundless love and laughter he brings. (tw 11/12/2025)

Story
Oh my goodness! This guy has turned out to be such a cutie. Arlo is a total character who will keep you laughing. Arlo was tied up behind an H&#226&#128&#145E&#226&#128&#145B for over 12 hours. Nobody knows how or why but thank goodness a Good Samaritan saw him and took him home. Arlo is an Australian shepherd mix about 3-4 years old. He weighs right around 40 pounds. He has the absolute cutest prance, a HUGE SMILE, and absolutely loves his “puppy massage” Arlo is up to date on vaccines and is neutered. Sadly he is heartworm positive but Scout’s Honor Rescue will cover the cost of his slow kill treatment. If interested in adopting or fostering Arlo please fill out the appropriate application and we will be in touch right away. November 29, 2025, 11:55 pm
