Daisy Mae is a very loving and loyal dog. She needs a couple of introductions to feel safe and secure with new people but, once she knows you she is very affectionate. She loves to go for walks (mostly so she can search for sticks) and she plays well with other dogs. ##1560455##

Story
Dapper is right - this handsome dude has a snow-white coat with one giant spot on his back and the cutest freckled ears we`ve ever seen! A 7-month-old border collie mix, Dapper sure loves to hug humans and will let you love on him as much as you want. At only 26lbs, this sweet boy is a smart, gentle, loving companion for anyone who wants to open their heart and bring him into their home. He was super interested in other dogs walking around outside and wants to make sure he finds a home where he can be engaged and his family appreciates his intelligence. You can see Dapper in action on BARC`s Animals Available for Adoption page on Facebook.

Story
Tip: 5 yr Male BC/Aussie Activity Level: Sports Companion/Active Companion Diet: Instinct Duck & Pea/Red Meat Raw & Veggies Special Talent: Sit Pretty w Front Paw Balance; Clicker Trained/Responsive/Whistle Responsive Training: Heavy Socialization/Positive Boundaries Experienced Dog/BC Owner Potentials Tip is a striking boy that is more private dog with strangers and affection. Once he feels comfortable he will open up his trust and really enjoy his time with his people and he is super smart. He is ready to bound outside for fun times or leash activities, needs lots of room to run and play with a 6 foot wooden fence, human break during a work day. He can be overly stimulated using his herding mouth but tricks and redirection help this young man know the direction his human is asking for. He does focus on a variety of balls as he runs and explores things, actually easy on the leash but strong if something catches his interest and totally excited when we run and play in a few hill hike/bike trails enjoying commands for jogging as well. Tip is more private about his comfort level for love/petting and is working on this as he does enjoy our fun hugs and makes eye contact. Tip is looking for an experienced dog person who understands the sensitivities of the Border Collie and may not be suitable for off leash. You see his litter came to my rescue July 4th 2014 at 4 months of age which is a prime life experience for any dog. Tip overcame a lot of fears and had some imprinting from the owner reaching/grabbing all the 8 puppies running free on her 3 acres in Louisiana. He is still learning about strangers and how they should approach him for the best positive experience. He is not suitable for cats and children/grandchildren as he is scared of people with fast movements and can fear bark it’s just not a fit for him. I do feel he would benefit from another dog from in the home that would be his activity level and enjoy fun BC/Aussie play and or another close knit group of dog friends he can enjoy weekly play time with; crates nicely with a break during a work day, a 6 foot fence is required, and follow his diet as his colon is super sensitive and all of his training/diet have been laid out for the next journey in his life! If an out of area applicant would be a potential match it is required they come to Houston to meet Tip staying a few days to further the matching process. Application required, home visit required, donation $325.

Story
Drew: 5 yr Male BC/Aussie Activity Level: Active Companion/Sports Diet: Raw Balanced Diet Special Talent: Fantastic Air Kiss w Hug/Up for Anything; Clicker Trained/Responsive/Whistle Responsive Training: Heavy Socialization/Positive Boundaries Experienced Dog/BC Owner Potentials Drew is the kind of Border Collie that reads your mind with his eyes, attention to body language, and wicked smart. He can be a hyper typical teenage Border Collie, who loves to work/think at home and on the leash. Cuddly with great curls and an awesome air kiss hug trick. This pup just enjoys life so much and loves to play. He is great with any training incorporating it into play in the yard, on the leash, and with special toys enjoying new games. Drew is looking for an experienced dog person who understands the sensitivities of the Border Collie; lots of room to run and play; 6 foot Wooden Fence; human break during a work day. His litter came to my rescue July 4th 2014 at 4 months of age which is a prime life experience for any dog. Drew overcame a lot of fears and had some imprinting from the owner reaching/grabbing. All the 8 puppies were running free on her 3 acres in Louisiana, pretty dang scary for young herders. He is still learning about strangers and how they should approach him for the best positive experience so he can play with them and give those amazing kisses! Drew would do great in a home that can further his understanding of the world, create fun games when playing outside, enjoy taking ‘working’ walks/hills walks-hikes (away from sidewalk and using tricks) settling in for the day. I do feel he would benefit from another dog in his home that is on his activity level and enjoy fun BC/Aussie play or play dates with dogs he’s met on leash walk. Also, he would do well with a BC experienced school age child. He crates nicely with a break during a work day, a 6 foot fence is required, and owners that follow his diet as his colon is super sensitive. All of his training/diet have been laid out for the next journey in his life! If an out of area applicant would be a potential match it is required they come to Houston to meet Drew and potentially stay a few days to further the matching process. There is an application and home visit required, adoption $300
