He’s smart, playful, friendly and good with dogs his size with proper introductions. Small dogs/animals and cats are, unfortunately, a no go for this fella. Jovi loves human companionship and he does well with kids, but his enthusiasm makes him a better fit for older ones. He is house and crate trained and his leash skills, well, they are a work in progress. Jovi's favorite activities include running, playing in the kiddie pool and snuggling after a long day of play. This guys ideal match would be an experienced, patient and committed home that can provide structure and boundaries. Jovi needs an area to expend his bursts of Aussie energy, so a fenced yard is required. Once those bursts are expended, he's ready to snuggle in for a good book or a movie. Jovi is looking for a home where he can stretch out, soak up attention and claim his rightful spot on the couch. 2 year old dog we got as a 7 week old puppy. He has been house trained but still pees when excited, even after a walk. He can be sweet at times. He likes to play tug of war and fetch. When walking him, he tries to attack other dogs and people. He has bitten 4 people including a toddler. None has resulted in bleeding. He also guards his food, meaning he growls at you if you get close to him while eating. He has also growled and attempted to bite while closing his crate. If not crated, he will poop in the house, even after a walk. We have a new baby coming in July and his behavior has become increasingly more aggressive since we had him neutered at 6 months old. Our county shelter is full so we can not surrender him and animal control does not pick up owned dogs from their residents. This is our last hope to get rid of this dog, please take him.
