Guppy was born February 8, 2022! My sister rescued her from someone keeping her chained to a tree. She was born completely deaf but that doesn’t stop her from living just as happy as any other dog. We only notice it when we need to get her attention but it’s easy to work around that. She loves having kitties as roommates but doesn’t need to interact much at all! We took her in when my sister realized her kids were very allergic. She also was incredibly anxious with the older kids. We have since had a child of our own and he is now on the move. She is sadly becoming more anxious despite boundaries and keeping them separate. We will be moving to a small apartment soon and it will be even harder to keep them separate. As hard as it is to rehome her, she deserves to be in a stress free home! She loves her sniff walks more than anything! She can interact with other dogs but she has strict boundaries with them. She loves being an indoor dog and loves all the attention she can get!

Meet Blu — a gentle, goofy, and incredibly sweet boy who is looking for a calm, loving home where he can truly settle in. Blu is about 6 years old, neutered, fully vaccinated, and heartworm-free. He previously completed heartworm treatment and has been responsibly maintained on monthly prevention, which he takes easily. Inside the home, Blu is a total sweetheart — affectionate, silly, and happy to relax with his person. In places where he feels safe, his personality really shines. At the vet and groomer, he’s consistently described as well-mannered and easy to handle, and he has never shown aggression or bitten anyone. Blu enjoys walks and outdoor time, especially in quiet areas where he can explore and run without a lot of commotion. He does best in calm environments and would thrive with someone who enjoys peaceful walks and a slower pace of life. Like many sensitive dogs, Blu can be a little nervous around unfamiliar people in busy settings, particular loud or crowded areas.

We adopted her in 2018, and she’s been a loyal companion ever since. She’s house-trained, well-mannered indoors, and happiest when she’s by your side on a peaceful walk or relaxing nearby. Angel thrives in a calm, predictable environment. She hasn’t done well with other dogs, so she’d do best as the only dog in the home. But she gets along well with our cats so it's possible she could adjust to other cats. Her ideal home would be with adults or older children. Although Angel can pull when she sees other dogs, she absolutely loves going for walks and being outdoors. We recently welcomed a baby into our home, and unfortunately, Angel has been showing signs of stress around the baby. This decision has been heartbreaking, but we want to do what’s best for her, and that means finding a home where she can feel safe, relaxed, and loved. Angel is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and in good health. She would be a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal, low-key best friend to share their life with. Rachel - Border Collie/Lab mix - Female - 5.5 yrs - www.twyla.org If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit our website at www.Twyla.org Meet Rachel: this gorgeous 5.5-year-old Border Collie Lab has returned to us as her needs and her families availability simply grew apart, like it happens sometimes. Rather than fitting a square peg into a round hole, it was determined that Rachel would be happier in a home that can more closely fit her needs. Rachel likes to have something to do, either playing with a toy or one of her dog friends or going for a walk. She seems to have a permanent smile on her face, and loves attention. She can be a little sneaky and will find unsecured garbage cans and unattended food - as she is very smart. She fine with relaxing with her pack after some playtime. Rachel is fine with most other dogs - she can be a little slow on picking up subtle social cues form other dogs ("I don't want to play right now" - "OK, how about now" 5 seconds later...) so tolerant dogs are the easiest fit, and while she is pretty easily corrected and redirect, you may have to repeat yourself a few times for her to believe you. She does want to please her humans and loves to cuddle. Rachel does not like to be left alone, and is looking for a home where someone is home a lot and can devote time and energy to her exercise, training and give her the attention and affection she craves. Some dogs handle changes easily, Rachel is not one of them, so an experienced and patience handler is preferred. Rachel would do best in a home with another dog or more than one, she loves kids, is house trained, but does not like to be alone and is not a fan of the crate. She can be crated and is currently crated, albeit in a rather high security crate. She is highly food motivated, which is great for training, is fine in the car, her leash training could use some fine tuning, but she is making great progress and has attended numerous group classes with her trainer with great success. ***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet, as not all dogs come to all Meet and Greets***
