Story
Looking for a professional lap warmer who doubles as your new favorite road trip co-pilot? Penny Chai is ready to claim her forever spot preferably right on top of you! Penny is the kind of girl who takes a minute to warm up and then suddenly you realize she’s chosen you as her person. When she feels safe, she blossoms into the sweetest companion: affectionate, loyal, and always close by. She doesn’t need the spotlight; she just wants to be near her humans. Penny is the perfect little adventure buddy. Long walks, patio cafés, community events, or shopping trips. She is ready to tag along and quietly win hearts wherever she goes. She may start a little shy, but when she chooses you, it’s forever. Penny Chai has a way of making people smile wherever she goes watch her video https://youtu.be/IPeR9y8lIqQ At just 1 year old and 19 lbs., we believe Penny Chai is a Mini Aussie mix. Of course, she’s a rescue so while we can’t guarantee breed or age, this isn’t a wild guess, just an educated observation based on her look and traits. She’s on the smaller side, making her easy to walk, easy to travel with, and easy to scoop into the car for spontaneous outings. Compact, manageable, and full of love Penny is the perfect size for both everyday adventures and cozy nights in. Penny is a huge lap dog in the best way possible. She truly believes personal space is optional and will happily curl up right on you for movie nights, quiet mornings, or anytime you sit down. She loves being part of your everyday routine whether that’s hanging out at home, going for peaceful walks, or riding along for an adventure. happily, be your walking buddy, training partner, and everyday sidekick. She enjoys roaming the yard but checks in often and loves having direction. She’s treat motivated (which makes training fun and rewarding!) and would thrive with someone who enjoys engaging her smart, working-breed brain. Penny is currently in foster and has done well in that environment. She is kennel trained, settles nicely, and rides wonderfully in the car. In fact, she loves car rides and would happily be your co-pilot. Beach day? She’s in. Weekend getaway? She’s ready. She would do best in a home with older kids (10+) who can match her calm, respectful vibe. She enjoys being part of the family and thrives with gentle interactions. Penny would do best in a home with no other animals. While she is perfectly fine passing other dogs on walks and being around them in public, she would truly prefer a home where she can be the one and only. After a rough start to life, Penny feels safest and most secure when she doesn’t have to share her space. A calm home where all the love and attention is just for her will allow her to relax, build confidence, and truly blossom into the very best version of herself. Penny could thrive in a home with a yard where she can explore and stretch her legs, but she could also do beautifully in an apartment as long as she gets regular walks and enrichment. She’s the kind of dog who bonds deeply, loves structure, and truly blossoms with guidance. As she settles in, you may notice a few classic Aussie-style quirks which really just means she’s smart, sensitive, and happiest when she has a “job,” even if that job is simply being your loyal little shadow. Young, vibrant, and incredibly devoted, Penny will be a beautiful addition to many different types of homes. Whether she joins a family with another dog or becomes your one and only, she’ll remind you every single day how much our hearts need the simple, steady companionship of an adoring dog. She’s ready and waiting for her forever home. If you’re ready for a smart, loyal companion who just needs a little time to shine, Penny is waiting. Story
About Yuki Only nine months old, blue heeler/husky mix Yuki is a friendly, playful, shy, and energetic young pup who loves treats. Her high energy level proved to be a bit too much for the small children in her previous home, and so she was surrendered to the shelter. She needs a family without small kids who can work with her on all aspects of obedience and other training. Yuki has been known to enjoy digging, so her family will also need to work with her on this. Yuki currently weighs about 35 pounds but still has some growing to do. Shelter staff believe she will grow to just under 50 pounds. She’s a real sweetie! Considerations No small children No cats 6-foot fence

Story
Introducing Zeke, a truly remarkable pup whose heartwarming spirit and playful energy are ready to light up a new home. Zeke is a handsome, resilient boy who, through no fault of his own, found himself searching for a new home. He's more than ready to embark on his next chapter, seeking a loving, forever family to call his own. Zeke is a bundle of joyful energy, known for his silliness and ability to bring a smile to anyone's face. While he may start off shy, it doesn't take long for his true personality to shine through. He quickly becomes an enthusiastic playmate who thrives on the company of other dogs and will gleefully encourage them to play. Zeke is a smart and well-mannered companion. He is potty-trained and comfortable in his crate. He also knows basic commands like "sit" and "go to your room," and his eagerness to please makes him a joy to train further. While he’s working on managing his excitement (which sometimes results in enthusiastic leaps!), his good intentions are always clear. Walks are a highlight of his day, offering him a chance to explore and burn off some of that youthful energy. His barks will let you know precisely when he needs to go outside or when he hears you approaching the door. If you’re seeking an active, affectionate, and charming dog who promises boundless love and entertainment, Zeke could be the perfect addition to your home. Hi, my name is Olive. I’m the sweetest girl you’ll ever meet. I love hugs. Like, put my arms around your neck and HUG you. I am super smart and have already learned to potty outside, sit, “kennel up” and much more. My foster mom has 2 kids, another dog and a cat. I’m so good with all of them although I don’t understand why the cat doesn’t want hugs. I’m trying hard to win her over though. Treats and naps are my favorite thing in the whole world. I started off life with my foster mom very skinny and I’m doing my best to fatten up a bit. I’m so excited to find my forever home. I’ll be your best friend! Local Only adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Story
Monty is a great name for a great dog like me ;) I have the Monty Python kind of humor... goofy and sweet! But, don't mess with my crate! That really is my only "pet: peeve!! I was found on the streets 2 years ago and was adopted as a pup... however, I became the boss in the house and didn't like anyone entering the house that I didn't know :( SO..... Back to the rescue, because they won't give up on me!! So here I am and I have really adjusted to the environment and new people meeting me and treats and lots of love. AND the crew here basically has determined that I need a family/adopters that will be in charge of the house. Someone I can trust to protect me so I don't have to!! I am vocal in my crate, so my crate needs to be away from the common areas so I can relax and not meet everyone that stops by. Once I settle into my new home I will follow your lead! I am a gorgeous boy, with caramel and milk chocolate highlights in my soft fur. I want to please my family and go on all kinds of adventures! I am awesome out and about, meeting new people and new friends :D I hope you will look into my eyes, the windows to my soul, and see the HOPE I have to find my own home again! The rescue is great because I got a second chance, but I REALLY want a home!! Local adoption only $200 (in TX)

Story
Almond Joy, mmmm. A little nutty, a lotta sweet. I am made of love, sunshine and SUGAR!! Here is what my foster has to say: "Almond Joy came in as a mama with one pup. Now that that's past her, she is living her own puppyhood again! She loves to play play play and run run run! She looks at you with her soft, brown eyes and melts your heart! She just really wants a soft place to land. If that is your home, she is ALL IN! Almond Joy does not have to have another dog but she really would LOVE to have a gentle, playful friend." If you have been looking for the right fit for your family, look NO FURTHER! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
